Accepted to Faculty of Arts

So happy right now. I have a 2070 (690 reading 710 math 670 writing) and a 4.13 gpa weighted. If you were to unweight it for Mcgill’s criteria it would probably be only a 3.2 though.

Accepted to Faculty of Science!

Accepted to Arts, 33 ACT, no SATs but a 2230 combined on three SATIIs, 3.7 GPA or so, 5 on the Spanish AP.

Daughter accepted this week to Nursing (in addition to Arts). Nursing was decision pending for a month before she got admitted.
Still no news on top choice of Science Faculty (decision pending). Friend got waitlisted in Arts and admitted to Education.
Decisions seem to trickle in randomly- just to keep everyone on edge and unsettled.

I would think there’s at most two weeks or so of waiting. The first US Rendezvous reception is March 22 in Cambridge, MA. (Thanks for iniitally posting this TomofBoston.)

My son is waiting on Science also (already accepted into Arts). Good luck everyone!

Accepted at Desautels School of Management!:)… quick question… is Desautels worth it? For some reason I have the feeling it isn’t as recognized as I would like it to be…

if you think that it doesn’t worth it then DON’T APPLY !!!
And let others who are really motivated go to McGill. Damn!!

I was admitted to Desautels too.But I think it could only list in the 2nd tier of business school in Canada.

accepted into science! I am from Texas (? everyone’s saying American or Canadian thought I’d go with Texas )

3.9 GPA
34 ACT

I’m through to the school of engineering (mechanical - 1st choice)… I’m from Bahrain …
Just a few questions -
Firstly, any takers for engineering around here ?
Secondly, any idea about the time period when McGill sends out scholarship notifications ? I obviously contacted them first, but they seemed pretty clueless, unfortunately… Hence, could CC save the day ? Being a foreign student, I really have to get the immigration and other procedures underway as soon as possible to make McGill a reality …

accepted to materials engineering! from the usa

I have a question for all of you who got accepted (or rejected/waitlisted, for that matter). Do they e-mail you when you get in, or do you just have to keep checking Minerva constantly? I also applied to UBC and they didn’t send me an e-mail when I got in (just online account and snail mail), so I’m wondering if McGill does the same.

Also, things might be different because I’m a transfer, but how long did it take for them to give you a decision after your status changed to “Ready for Review”? I checked off extenuating circumstances, so I feel like I’m in for a loooong wait.

Hey,

So yes they send you a email saying that your statut has changed on minerva. Then, if you are accepted, they will send you an other email like a day after your minerva statut has changed saying congratulation. Then you will receive some email “McGillinMind” for some informations about being a student in Mcgill. A week or two later you will receive a mail with all the papers :)

For me my statut “ready for review” just stayed two days before my statut changes to “accepted”

Hope that will help

:)

People on this thread have received packages? I was admitted to McGill Pending Final IB grades (which is annoying), but I was under the impression that the entire process was online, and that there was no Snail mail. Unless you meant e-mail, ArtemisF? (love your name btw)

did everyone who had their statuses changed on Minerva receive emails? because i definitely did not and they placed me on the waiting list, which is slightly shocking.
