Is there an actually date for the results? It seems every day that one or two people hear something.
Wait listed with a 33 ACT and 4.5 Weighted GPA (3.9 unweighted). APs Euro 5 Stats 5 Psych 5 Gov 4 Physics 3. Currently in AP Calc AP Human Geo AP French and AP Econ. Is this normal? There averages are much lower.
@Yankeesman123 Seems like all the waitlists are coming out rn. No way you should’ve been waitlisted with those stats. Makes me scared lol im still at reviewed pending. What faculty did you apply to?
@claraaa Eyyy Jersey represent. I’m a Canadian dual citizen and I have this weird feeling that McGill is waitlisting qualified dual citizens and French nationals in favor of slightly less qualified American and international students. Think about it, your stats are more than enough to get in. As a French citizen though, you will be paying the Quebec tuition of $5,000 (USD $3,800) which lower than most community colleges in America. And as a Canadian citizen, I would pay $7,000 (USD $5,300). However, McGill can choose accept an American student with lower stats who will pay $15,000-$40,000 (USD $11,336 - $30,230). It’s no secret that they are experiencing budget cuts and are raising tuition rates.
@PlanningMyFuture B commerce and arts
@Freeholder I don’t know if they are waitlisting those kinds of people. I am a dual french-US citizen and got into both my Mcgill schools already. They may be doing it on a larger scale, but that hasn’t been my experience. I also live in NJ
I’ve applied to BComm back in October. Im an IB student with a predicted 40 points and still haven’t received my response. The weird thing is they want me to send them my Mock Exam results in which I am currently in the process of taking. It seems I am the only one to have been asked for the mock exam results, or has anyone else been asked for them? Also If i don’t do so well on my mock exams, will that ruin my chances of getting into McGill?
Mine still says “further review required” not decision pendng, hope they didn’t forget about me
My daughter’s says the same. She did apply in January though. That is later than most?
I applied on the 1st Decmber, and it is also “further review required”. Mcgill was supposed to be a safe school, but now that i got into one of my reach schools, its decision does’t matter anymore. But still, i wish to know the results
hey did McGill send you an email asking you for your predicted grades or did the form on the minerva website just state that you need to upload a new version of your transcript? @karimsafadi
No they didn’t ask for it, but what I did was under the High School transcript requirement I uploaded a PDF with the first page being my high school transcript and the second page being my official predicted grade. I had my IB coordinator do this for me!
So I guess we’re hearing back on the 31st or 1st?
It’s fun how McGill said they were sending us results by the end of March. I swear the admissions office seems to be procrastinating just as much as the average high school student. Tbh, if I don’t hear back from McGill within the next week (even though it’s my first choice and I’ve been immensely stressed out to hear back from them),I’m accepting my second choice school because I don’t want to lose a decent housing contract to my American schools simply due to McGill’s lack of ability to meet deadlines.
I don’t know why I feel like we won’t be hearing back by the end of march
They just changed the wording on their “Estimated Dates for Release of Decisions” page from late March to mid-April for US applicants. So, I guess we’ll just have to wait…
Wow, I can’t believe that change it. I’m losing sleep over this…
Are you kidding me… Thats rediculous. They did the same thing last year too… How can all US colleges don it and mcgill cant?
My D got her decisions this morning! Right after we read that they wouldn’t be out until mid-April. She was rejected from the college of arts & science but accepted into the college of the arts pending final results. Which I’m assuming means that her grades stay good and nothing major happens. Yay!
I got rejected… Wow.
