Her grades and level of academic challenge would qualify her, though. She’ll send an additional essay if she doesn’t hear anything in the next few weeks.</p>

<p>Many Awards/Extracurriculars, Vey Extensive Music Resume, Boy Scout (8+ years), Venture Scout (Explorer), Journalist for school newspaper, actor/producer/asst. director in films advocating against teen alcohol/drug abuse, RA (Residence Assistant), volunteer in music store/library, YMCA Leadership Circle, and numerous other activities. I have received numerous music, talent and academic awards that were also noted on my application.</p>

<p>I think when it comes to applying to college you must focus on your essay. There is not much more that you can do to stand out that you have not already done. Your GPA is not malleable, and studying for the ACT/SAT is old news (you have your scores). All that you can do at this point, is; do some volunteer work and note it on your application, and write from your heart and show MSU why you would make a great addition to their school. Why do they want you? MAKE them love you and stamp your application with a big green CHECK. It’s like making Santa’s naughty or nice list, you have to prove yourself and it’s not a “I was nice to mommy during Winter break” kind of thing. It is passion AND consistency. Follow your heart and show the college of your dreams what is really special about you. I promise, you won’t be let down. </p>
