<p>Since we now have the results thread, I think it is time to get this thread started. Use this page for discussion about results.</p>

<p>We should be getting our results sometime next week, I presume.</p>

<p>Next week? That’s quite early. I thought it was more around December 20th?</p>

<p>Last year was December 16th, and the year before that was December 15th. If the pattern holds, we should have our results sometime next week.</p>

<p>If you split December into 3 sections, then each section would be 31/3 = 10.333333 days. If the results are released strictly during **“mid-December”<a href=“as%20the%20admissions%20website%20states”>/b</a>, and we let X = date of release, then 10.3333333 < X < 20.6666666. Convert that to date format, the decisions will be released anytime between Dec/10 08:00:00AM and Dec/20 04:00:00PM.</p>

<p>These time restrictions are of course in Eastern Standard Time, so take into account of time difference. Also, plus or minus a few miliseconds for time it takes for the data to travel through the web.</p>

<p>Before anybody asks, I closed the decisions thread and stickied it. I will open it when decisions are released. </p>

<p>Nothing drives me crazier than chat in the decisions thread. Well, other than posters who don’t remove the spaces from the template before posting their stats.</p>

<p>Yep, I thought it was a little too early to open that thread considering the decision date hasn’t even been announced.</p>

They’ll release it as soon as they can predict a date by which they’ll be done with selection. As you can imagine, they need to know when they’ll be done selecting the class before they can announce a date for decisions to be released.</p>

<p>It would be reasonable (based on past years) to think that the date will be announced this week. But it may not be.</p>

<p>No worries, though – when MIT announces the date, you won’t miss the announcement. It will be on the blogs, will be here on CC, and will almost certainly be sent in an email to all applicants.</p>

its thursday december 16th (see link below)</p>

<p>at first i thought that i found last year’s decision website, but the 16th is a thursday this year and was a wednesday last year</p>
