@nanotechnology I’m glad you got a bit more. Keep pressing on. Good luck to you…and positive thoughts for your mom.
Daughter was not accepted. Glad it wasn’t her first choice. Accepted to Drexel and Penn State. Not sure what Northeastern was looking for…
@nanotechnology , I’m glad you were still able to make NU work. Sorry to hear about your mom… and sorry that Northeastern didn’t step up more for you and your family.

@ju89yeon - did you hear from them today or yesterday. I thought Thursday was the day they were going to release RD
@sfbernal i actually heard from them march 14th! i think they’ve been releasing decisions all throughout march.
@sfbernal All regular RD decisions were released March 15th.
Has Northeastern already uploaded everyone’s financial aid packages on their portals? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I also emailed them a while back about this, but never received a response…
@rainsong you should google “Northeastern app status check” and click on the second link
you’ll need your NU ID to log in and your bday and then you should see your admissions decision along with the financial aid and scholarships
I don’t think you can check it on your portal. Whenever I go on my portal I can only see the financial aid documents/forms stuff but not the actual financial aid package.
Hopefully you can find it!
@WiseSeaweed I’ve been checking this ever since admissions results were released, but the only documents listed under that is the decision letter and myNEU portal instructions
@rainsong That’s weird… When you check your portal & the financial aid status, does it say that all of your documents are received? Did you make sure to send your FAFSA, CSS Profile, and copy of your Social Security card?
I forgot to send my SSN card so I am waiting for financial aid to come this week too…But the admission results page has the financial aid (asking to send all the forms) as a document below the decision letter.
You should try to email your financial aid counselor and the Student Financial Services office. It might be quicker to call them too.
@rainsong You may also be able to see your financial aid on your myNEU portal if you log in there.
Did anyone else receive an email at the beginning of the month asking them to email in certain documents for financial aid? I did so maybe a week and a half after receiving it (it took a while to find the three documents they asked for). myNEU still shows the documents as missing and since I haven’t heard a peep from NEU financial aid office, I have since sent two additional emails, one to the FA office and the other to my FA counselor, trying to get a response.
My FAFSA and CSS Profile were both submitted on time and I’m really worried now because the only way I can attend NEU is if I get good aid…
@greetings12 I did not receive the email (I don’t think) but it said my documents were missing on my portal. I had submitted my FAFSA and CSS a while back, but I never sent them my SSN card so it said “Not Received” for all three documents. I faxed them my Social Security card last week (I forgot what day exactly), and then myNEU said that they received the all the documents last Friday. I have just received my financial aid package today.
Do you have confirmations that you sent the FAFSA and CSS? How did you send them your SSN card? If it was by mail, it might take a bit longer than faxing would. If you did fax your card, did you make sure you also sent a page that stated your name and NU ID?
Maybe you can try calling them again tomorrow. Hopefully it all works out!
@WiseSeaweed When I check myNEU, it shows that my FAFSA and CSS were received so I’m not concerned about those. Are we supposed to send them our SSN card? I can fax it tomorrow from my school just I never saw anything about that. Thanks though. Maybe that’s all that I’m missing. I’ll call tomorrow morning.
@greetings12
Yes you should fax them a copy of your social security card. They will not look at your other 2 documents without it even if they received it.
No problem! I hope you get good financial aid!
