Essays: No supplemental, my common app essay was basically about how growing up in a small town has taught me a lot about tolerating intolerant people, learning from different people, accepting others, etc etc. I was told that it was good, I’d rate it a 7.5-8/10.
Teacher Recommendation: I imagine it would be strong. From my competitive programming coach and former AP CS instructor. Likes me a whole lot, but I don’t know if he’s a good writer. I’d rate this 7.5-8/10 too.
Counselor Rec: From my dad, since I’m homeschooled. He’s an English teacher and obviously he has a lot of reason to like me so I imagine it was good, haha. 9/10.
Additional Rec: From a former employer, who really really likes me. He studied law up in Boston and he really wanted me to go to school up north. 8-8.5/10.

Reflection
Strengths:
What you tried to focus on in your application - any hooks you tried to make for yourself: How being homeschooled let me take advantage of opportunities outside of the classroom in terms of work and volunteering. Using the world as a classroom, which obviously NEU loves hearing about.
Weaknesses: No major awards, not many ECs related to computer science, average/poor SAT II scores
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: Very unique application, with a lot of different interests and responsibilities being represented. I’m also of the opinion that my 34 ACT score was a good clincher…Very thankful for that one.
Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: Thankfully I put all of my eggs in one basket and decided not to apply to any other schools
Your “Big Red” factor - the most unique thing in your application: Maybe all of my work experience?
