it was pretty easy to figure out who you are

You guys should be supporting eachother which is what commonly happens on CC.

@Viking77- I am sure that you an many others are just as qualified as many of the others who were acccepted. Don’t let this get you down. We all have stories such as the student who was denied by NU and then later ended up at Princeton! Good luck to you!!!

@ScrewedOverX3-for all you know some of the deferred people on this site are going to be admitted. Probably best to humble and encouraging.

We all know at this level of school there is an element of luck. The majority of the applicants are more than qualified and if not admitted, were probably just unlucky. There are too many subjective elements in the process for anyone to point at any one part of the objective aspect of the application (test scores or grades) as a reason for someone being denied or accepted.

OK guys, let’s calm down. Congrats to the new Wildcats! If you didn’t get in, I saw the thread where you posted your stats, and I’m sure you will end up somewhere really nice.

I’m sorry to be blunt. But shut up.

This is a thread of celebration, not freaking angst.

this is not necessarily a “celebration thread” either. it was a thread made for all early applicants to share concerns and questions.

but either way, our underlying idea is the same in that we should just move on.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled ED thread!

How many new wildcats rushed out and ordered NU swag? I think by this time our family had ordered 4 NU sweatshirts, one NU sweatpant, two NU t-shirts, one NU hat and a partridge in a pear tree.

Btw, last year there was an ED t-shirt, but you had to send back a response indicating size and D forgot to do it so she never got hers, so if you see something about that do it while you still remember. ;-D

oh i really hope they do that again this year! i would love a shirt :)

I don’t think there’s a shirt… I got the mail and nothing talked about sending back a size T_T

If I recall correctly, the info about the ED t-shirt came later… maybe via e-mail. Hopefully someone else remembers more specifics, but of course I’m not sure if they do it every year.

Also - if you had an alumni interview, it might be nice to drop them a note thanking them and letting them know you were admitted! ;-D
