Good ECs, most tailored to the major I applied to.
Had a pretty good interview for NU too.
Good essays, demonstrated a TON of interest.
Almost applied ED and assumed I wouldn’t get in since I only applied RD, but hey look where we are now!
Also I’m white and female (my major is majority female) and from a public high in CA school in case that matters to anyone.
And congrats to everyone else admitted!
And to those not admitted, remember that just having the stats doesn’t guarantee you admission because most people who applied had those same stats. Your personality that shines through in essays/interviews matters a lot so consider that before blaming affirmative action or anything else for the sole reason you in particular didn’t get in. It’s not a perfect system.

@FemurBreaker: you were supposed to pull your NU application once you were accepted ED to U Penn. That’s really unethical of you, if I’m understanding your post correctly. And you applied ED to Columbia, too?! You should be blacklisted everywhere.
Does anyone know if NU will match merit from a school that’s on about the same level reputation-wise?
Merit aid seems unlikely. But you have nothing to lose by giving it a shot.
rejected. 770 M, 780 EBRW. 33 ACT. 3.98 uw (my school doesn’t do weighted). my school doesnt do class rank either. unpaid research assistant in two harvard medical school-affiliated labs over the last two summers, really good rec letter from the p.i. very involved in mormon community, service, ect. varsity soccer and track. 10/10 personal statement, 9/10 why northwestern.

Since you got into UPenn ED aren’t you supposed to withdraw all application so why are u still not withdrawing so can someone can have chance. Since your ED is binding.
