****OFFICIAL Notre Dame Class of 2019 Discussions Thread****

<p>@sophia13133 hopefully we have good news tomorrow :)</p>

<p>@chelmein they’re missing out :(</p>

<p>@glassjar8‌ I hope so! I’ll say a prayer tonight that they reach the rest of so cal tomorrow! </p>

<p>Hi everyone, Notre Dame has been my dream school my entire life. I am a legacy and live in California, where i attend a very prestigious Cathlic high school. I was deferred from early action, and I was wondering what you guys think my chances are? Here are my stats </p>

<p>33 on the ACT
4.37 GPA (3.95 unweighted)
Really great recs (got a former valdedictorian, the bishop, and teachers)
I think my essay was really well written, I spent a long time on it
Varsity Lacrosse
2 years cross country, 1 year of track
Junior year AP classes: Calculus AB AP (5), English Literature AP (4), Physics B AP (3)
Senior year classes : psychology ap, calculus bc ap, chemistry ap
Started a charity collecting lacrosse equipment for low income kids in St. Louis and helped start a lacrosse program there
80 hours volunteering at a camp for families affected by childhood cancer
Worked in Guatemala over the summer for a week at an extremely low income school</p>

<p>Two kids from my school got in, one with a 33 act and a 4.5, the other with a 4.3 and a 1540. </p>

<p>What are my chances for admission? And what could I do to improve my application. </p>

<p>Can anyone tell me if I can apply to another school for ED II? (I was rejected from ND REA)…
Please let me know :)</p>

<p>@divein As long as you don’t have any other ED’s already submitted, which you shouldn’t if you did ND REA, you are free to apply to ED II.</p>

<p>For those of you girls that had your heart set on ND, you ought to look at Saint Mary’s College which is right across the street from ND. I attended SMC and you are part of the ND community. You can take a classes at ND, be a cheerleader at ND, etc. It is literally the best of both worlds in my opinion. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a pm. Good luck! </p>

<p>I opted for regular decision, does anyone know when those announcements will be released? Is it per applicant or are they all released at once?</p>

<p>@DonutswithDom I’m RD as well. If by announcements you mean decisions, that is April 10 (or thereabouts). They are all released at once (sent April 10). Settling in for the long wait… </p>

International decisions are emailed right?? Stressed…

Yup international decisions are emailed

any RD decisions yet???

Does anyone know when financial aid comes out? Also, it said on my acceptance letter today I have to change my intended major from Chemical Engineering, how do I do this?

@ggarner57‌ You probably have to do through an online portal (or call). Why did they ask you to change it? And, if you don’t mind sharing, what state do you live in?

I live in rural West Tennessee, and because I hadn’t taken physics. It’s no big deal though, lately I had decided to change it to political science or patent law.

@collegellie‌ Nothing in Ohio for me.

@collegellie haven’t gotten anything in Illinois, either

I heard that decisions were coming out sometime tomorrow for Massachusetts. Is this true?

Are we allowed to call the admissions office to find out our decision?

@neurogirl07 not until friday…
