Hey so I was reading the WashU thread and it made me smile. So many applied and got rejected and said well I really showed no interest…I’m thinking to myself …every single school I applied to I thought about and agonized over is it right for me…am I nuts? I mean I feel like I put my heart into every application…so many of them were like eh…whatever
got into NEU with deans scholarship

I think they posted. A friend of mine was accepted so I watch that thread…I thought it was pretty cool. I assumed it went out in their email for their portal. Their decisions come out on Friday.
I mean on March 13th they said decision would be out in the afternoon on the 17th…how very modern of them! =D>

Hey what did you all think about the supplemental essays?! I really enjoyed them. Actually, I loved them! Except I was so frustrated how there was a 250 word limit for the “Why do you love ND” prompt! Like, c’mon! Also, did anyone do the “Take a risk” prompt? I have heard some hilarious and creative responses from previous years. One person apparently wrote, “To be continued in the fall of 2016” or something like that =))
I’ve been reading and keeping up on this thread for forever but I’m not sure if I’ve ever said anything haha. I was deferred and am now getting super nervous knowing that decisions will be out soon! My first semester grades were really good and an improvement but I feel like I’m also a below average candidate so I am fluctuating between hopeful and hopeless :-SS Everyone on this thread is awesome and super funny though, so I wish you all the best of luck and hopefully we will be classmates for the next 4!!
I love coming back here every few hours and checking up on this thread haha. I have a feeling it’ll be tomorrow as well. Admission or not, I wish there was a way for all of us to meet up and get coffee or something because you are all such supportive, friendly, sweet and undoubtedly brilliant people. I’ll be praying for us all!

My nephew got in at WUSTL today. It is an amazing feeling. I have been helping him with all of his apps and financial aid stuff so it was big news for me too. WUSTL was a reach for him. I was amazed at some of the outstanding stats of rejected kids. So, there is hope. We are all really hoping for ND though. But, have to admit, the WUSTL admit has really put a smile on our faces.

i did the take a risk prompt too and took it as “write about anything that you wouldn’t be able to otherwise” so I talked about how a sense of humor has helped me through difficult and divisive times. I hope it wasn’t stupid. I told a story about a ridiculously silly situation I had in my life. Honestly, I was just trying to write an essay that I knew no one else would have. hope it wasn’t reallllllllly dumb
