**Official Notre Dame Regular Decision Class of 2021 Thread**

@RUHTRA999 yes there is an email address to send updates to…I think it’s called ndforms or something like that. I would call admissions.

@chino944 my best educated guess is the 16th or 20th.

Mr brother is a junior at ND and his friend works in admissions, he said the decisions will come out BEFORE St. Patrick’s Day. Apparently they’re not sure about the exact day yet but my guess is the 16th

@ivyhopeful17 sounds sketchy coming from a new member so I would take this with a grain of salt everyone. That being said my aunt works in admissions and she wont tell me anything other than they’re doing they’re best to get them out before St. Paddys day but no promises

@FORKTHlS

@FORKTHlS I do not appreciate your condescending retort. I have a number of reliable sources in the admissions office and I made this account to relay my info to the masses. I may be a new member, but hey you have to start somewhere. Maybe my brother’s friend knows your aunt, what’s her name? Besides, our your source corroborates mine!

Just stop trolIing this thread and I’ll leave you alone.

There’s a 1% chance I’ll get in but I’m hoping for the best for myself and all of you guys

^ Same

Actually on an admissions calculator based on stats solely I actually had a 0.7% chance. Lmao

Haha I got a 1.24% lucky me

0.62% :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi can someone help clear up some confusion please. I have had several people tell me they have already received their admissions decision. This means they were on of the ones considered for merit scholarships, right? So the regular decisions aren’t out yet?

How’s it going everyone. Current freshman at ND here, so I know how you all are feeling. If you have any questions you want to ask me, feel free. I can’t promise I’ll answer immediately (we’re entering midterm week), but I’ll do my best to respond in a timely manner.

@IvyHopeful98 I realize it’s hard to measure because each person went to a different level highschool and each person reacts to different rigor levels differently so with that said; can you just give an general sense of the rigor level of ND as compared to your highschool experience. Is it murder? or is it just mosquito in the brazilian rainforest type of pain? Be as honest and truthful as you like, no one here will turn down their admission based on someone’s opinion. Thanks

@IvyHopeful98 Hey there! I remember you from about a year ago! so happy for you! you were so supporting and helpful to everyone last year! I have prayed that you are having a great year and everything is as you had dreamed it would be. My son is putting the finishing touches on his essays for his transfer app and hopeful that he gets to realize his dreams too. Good luck on midterms!

@reformedman Yeah for sure! So I went to public school, just like roughly 2/5 of the student body. It is absolutely harder than public school, and a big thing for me was adjusting to the fact that you just won’t get a 4.0 unless you decide to devote yourself to school only. I ended up with a 3.4 (roughly average at ND) my first semester (two 89%'s :/), but this semester is much harder for me. I’m only taking 3 freshman courses, so it’s a little tough trying to make an adjustment so quickly from high school classes to freshman classes to regular classes. I plan on dropping one of my upper-level classes, but that’s more because of a bad professor than of actual rigor. A lot of what you will experience is solely based on the professor, as everyone teaches differently. Talking to other friends, it seems as if I’ve gotten pretty unlucky with professors, so I’m sure most people will have a slightly easier experience than I’ve had.

@RangerJerry Thank you! It’s been an absolute blast, and a decision I certainly won’t regret. It’s such a special place, and one that I hope your son will get to experience next year!

@IvyHopeful98 I’m a really social person… not to say party girl but yeah I guess I’ll say party girl… will I be disappointed in an environment like ND? I know about the parietals and stuff, but what about parties?

@a20171 Lol. In my opinion, there’s a scene for everyone here. What exactly are you looking for? Dorm parties, off-campus, clubs, bars? All of the above?

@IvyHopeful98 yeah kinda all of the above. I’m just scared of being bored you know
