With odd functions the answer was something like f(x) = x^3 + x.

I'm pretty sure x^3 + x wasn't an answer... There was E, x^3 + 1.

Yes! tan(x) it was. Scratch x^3 +w/e. I think three other choices where A.cos(x), C.exponential and D.log functions.

i said tanx (C?) was the odd function

Can someone please explain the functions question? The answer seems to be 07. darn, i put 3.7

i think it was somethng like

f(x) = .............. if x is between 0 to 1
= f(x) - 1 if x is greater than one

x = 4.7

f(x)=x on your blank. And you have f(4.7)=f(3.7)=f(2.7)=f(1.7)=f(0.7)=0.7.

tanx was the odd function right?

I actually still have this in my calculator. The question gave a definition of an odd function and asked which one was odd:
1)cosx 2)3^x 3)tanx 4) logx 5) 3x^2 + 1
I'm pretty sure it was tanx

It was tan (x) for sure.

It was tan(x) for sure because it was the only function that went through the origin!

ahh damn I put cos(x) for that one even though I know cos is even. That's what I get for going too fast.

Just a side note about that curious piecewise function.
It's a fractional part f(x)={x} on x>=0 domain.
Its period = 1.
You can find {x} in your TI : Math->Number->fPart.

how much wud i get if i left 18 and have like 2 wrong max

Around a 680
