@breakthrough @PB1997 I have applied for Mechanical Engineering. What about you guys? Lets hope for the best.
@Monica1997 For Mechanical Engg, your PCM marks will matter the most. All the best
@Monica1997 Iāve applied for Business Administration.
@PB1997 Well now i donāt know what to believe anymore. I also think a lot depends on luck because we have to compete with the others applying in the same year, So then we donāt really know what kind of people have applied.
As for me i got accepted to Christ University in Bangalore. Still hoping on NUS/NTU.
For me, I have decided to go to the US(mostly to ASU) in Spring if I donāt get in NUS/NTU. I really hope I go to Singapore. I like the place and the opportunities there. Plus NUS is awesome and I really want to get accepted.
All the best to you. @breakthrough @PB1997
@Monica1997 Great! Good luck with the US university.
I wonder when NUS announces the results. Their website says the results are announced by june end. Thatās a long wait, frankly.
Iāve heard NTU results come out before NUS.
@PB1997 Nanyang Business School (NBS) is considered better than NUS as far as online conversations go for business administration. But then there are quite conflicting views in that regard. Thatās one reason why maybe paulchensc got into NUS but not NBS
Any idea when NTUās admissions decisions are out? @breakthrough
@breakthrough @PB1997 Hey guys! I want to know if you sent the supporting documents by post or e-mail to NTU while applying. I had sent it by post but in their website it says that we are not allowed to send paper copies of the supporting documents. Any ideas on this?
@Monica1997 Well all I have heard is that NTU results come out before NUS. But usually you can start checking your inbox everday after june 10. But then again since NTU hasnāt given any particular date, nothing can be said assertively.
As for the documents, I uploaded them. I think thatās what they wanted us to do.
After applying, you can use those details to open an account with NTU and therein upload the documents.
@Monica1997 Always go for uploading the documents online whenever possible. If not, then send by fax. Documents sent by email are NOT accepted. You do not need to mail anything if you have submitted online.
Decision for NTU should be out by mid-June and that of NUS by late-June at most. Yes thatās a pretty long wait.
@breakthrough Unfortunately, I donāt have much idea for Business but that could be the case. The key is not to assume how it will go but to hope that things will go your way regardless of how it goes.
@PB1997 Agreed
@PB1997 @Monica1997 What do you guys think about the bond?
Guys my application status for NUS has just changed from āApplication Receivedā to āApplication Processingā!! You must check it out too. We might soon get decisions!
Mine still says āApplication Receivedā
@breakthrough I submitted my marksheet on 19th and the status changed on 26th. It should take a week after you have handed in your marksheet.
My application status changed āApplication Processingā
Guess we have to be on the look out now. But it will take quite some time because I am sure they have loads of applications.
Also do they release the results for all indians at once? Or is it course wise?
I scored 96% in my CBSE Grade 12 Board Examinations ,Average score in PCM : 96%
SAT Subjects : 2390
Decent Extra Curricular activities
My choices are :
Computer Science
Computer Engineering
EEE
Mathematical Sciences
what are my chances in NUS/NTU ?
@Aakash1104 Donāt know about your chances but your marks are good, all the best.
@breakthrough Loads of Indians apply so it should come out by June 1st week ending. All the results might/might not be declared together.
@PB1997 I highly doubt the results will come out by first week of june. Third week of june seems like a safe bet for NUS and second week for NTU.
But then again, this is just what I think. May happen otherwise.
@Aakash1104 Frankly no one can say anything certainly. It all depends on the other people who have applied for the same course, who constitute your competition, as NUS and NTU choose students relatively.
Btw great marks. Good luck!
Congrats @PB1997 ā¦Thatās an excellent score. Is this best of 4 subjects or aggregate of all 5 subjects ?
What is your score excluding English out of 400 ?..If you donāt mind sharing??
