@ArwenEvenstar7 Did you apply to NTU as well? Or just NUS?
@breakthrough Only NUS. The life sciences course that NUS offers is ideal for me.
@breakthrough Alas, I was not accepted. It has been nice talking to you. Good luck!

@PB1997 @maddy09 @breakthrough
@ZaceQuar Hey! Well the main limitation with NUS/NTU is that no one can say anything. I know people who have got in with 95.6% and i also know people who have not got in with 98%.
Chances differ depending upon your course, marks, competition etc.
Everything comes down to the other people who have applied in the same year as you have and are your competition.
And i don’t know whether the fact that you are transferring will affect your chances or not.
Bottom line, nothing much can be said. Apply and hope for the best.
Hope this helps
@breakthrough
I reason I am weighing my options is coz NTU/NUS do not offer transfer. Therefore I will have to start of as a Freshman. I was wondering if you could help me out. How much do extra currics factor in? What about one’s JEE Advanced rank?
@ZaceQuar You have excellent JEE Ranks, but your Cbse 12th board result may hold you back.
Nevertheless, there is no harm trying…you never know what may work in your favour with NUS/NTU…
You should have applied this year only.
NUS/ NTU only consider minimum National level extra curriculars…
Good luck with your application!
@breakthrough and @Aakash1104 …any result from NUS?..Has your application status changed?
@PB1997 …How did your scholarship interview go?
Have they offered you the scholarship with the bond ?
Hi there!
The Scholarship Interview was very basic and straightforward. No IQ or academic-oriented questions were asked. They are just looking at your character, your personality by asking questions about you, your place, your activities, why you pursued a certain activity, are you okay with the bond, have you been in touch with past students of NUS, etc. It was all over in 10 minutes. The result will be out by the end of this month. Hoping for the best!
There was a little pre-introductory talk regarding the MOE Tuition Grant and Scholarship Bond. I got all my doubts about these bonds cleared. Basically, it’s a very flexible bond. It doesn’t derail your progress in the company you work for in any manner, doesn’t subsidize your income at all, etc. You work like a non-bonded employee with the only restriction that you have to serve for 3 or 6 years (depending on whether you take the scholarship or not). And Singapore-registered company is basically just a company in Singapore. Any company in Singapore, so you have to serve the bond in Singapore only. You probably won’t be allowed to serve in a Singapore-registered company in India, etc. That was it.
