-= Official NYU '12 ED Decisions Thread =-

죽겠네죽겠어.. i couldn't do any single hw tonight T_T

It will die the gruel keyss U

?

Wow. I've basically figured I'm going to get rejected. So, my friend from my school already got into NYU, i'm assuming GSP. She has basically the same stats as me... our gpa's are .04 different, hers is higher, and our sats are like 50points different (on a 2400 scale), my score is higher.

I do more ECs than her... 3 sports, varsity, all for 4 years, and then i was captain for XC. I've also done Lead America, have had 2 jobs during the summer, have been in mock trial for 3 years, along with 3 other clubs and I've done an internship in a law firm. Also, I contacted the NYU XC coach and he told me to send him my application (I didnt end up sending it to him until nov 15th, though) after I applied (on oct 30) ED.... and I could easily run there because it's ED.

Anyway, my friend's ECs are that she horseback rides 3-4 times a week, she did XC this year and last, and had a few jobs as well, and probably one or two clubs.

So, my point is... do you think I'm probably rejected from nyu, because I couldnt get into CAS since she got into GSP? (And theres no way I can get into GSP, now, I think... because from what Ive read in this thread no more GSP letters are being sent out)

미도리, 어디 출신 이세염?

new slang, asking kids on here doesn't make a difference anymore. you might have been accepted, you might have not. it's only one or so more days! get some rest, bud.

Stern doesn't take econ BECAUSE its a business school. I have a friend in Stern and basically they want to teach you everything from the ground up. Meaning they drill it into your head that you're stupid and you don't know jack **** about business.

goodynotion// 미국에있는한국유학생.

I agree... but new slang consider that little extra thing you had to submit... you know the essay and the supplement? I'm pretty sure NYU looks at that...

Adding to futurenyustudent... all of us are required to take Micro. And if you're in Stern, don't think you're getting out of calc, even with a 5 on BC. That only allows you to take Calc III (which is pointless unless if you're in econ theory or actuarial science). Everyone has to take a semester of calc.

On another note... why does it seem like everyone wants to get into GSP? If your stats are better than someone who got GSPed, wouldn't that mean you most likely got in? Which is far better than GSP, in my opinion... no offense meant against GSP. Anyway, guys, don't lose hope. You never know.

흠... 비슷한 상황인거삼..? ㅋㅋㅋ

ijailin, you read my chance thread. How much chance do you think i have? And what was your HS gpa and stuff? sorry for being nosy. I am just that nervous.

Honestly, I am not the best person to ask. I was NYU RD, since it wasn't my first choice (dodges rotten vegetables). If you really want to know, my GPA was between a 3.9 and 4.0 UW (not sure how it's calculated for high school) and my SAT was 2300... but if you have that, you can get into Stern Scholars.

Really, guys, it seems like everyone who's worrying really shouldn't be. You all seem to be in the range of what NYU accepts (fully, not just GSP), so right now, it's all based on luck... nothing you can control.

alright im in fl and the mail comes in in like 3 hours....

ill keep you guys posted.

Rejection sent through email today...............................

weedeeg, where do you live? and why would you get a rejection email?

Internationally, applicants are told of their decision through email.
Sorry, weedeeg :(

Sorry to hear, weedeeg...

Does anyone propose we create an ACTUAL official results thread with that little stats html formula so people next year can access it right away? These two don't even have that many results.

Yes...I say it's a must

sorry weedeeg, NYU is cruel.
No worries man, just don't think about it. Now that I have seen the anguish that NYU causes even before we get in, I don't even want to know what kind of hell you will go through once you are actually in.

im sorry weedeeg..
