Good luck, NyJeo. Glad it went well.

Sounds good man! Hope you make it! Where you from?

NyJeo, that's really awesome that your interview went well. I hope you get accepted. What'd you end up wearing? LOL.

P.S. Has anyone seen Rachel Getting Married? I'm contemplating going to see that this week...

" in snail mail order for Americans it's LSP, normal offer of admissions and then rejection letters"

Xifona... Are you just guessing, or is this actually true, because it does make sense.

Oh, I am glad your interview went well NyJeo!

I think I read somewhere that that process is right... And considering the way the ED thread last year went, I could see there being truth to it.

I really expected this board to be a little busier right now. Is everyone just lurking?

Thanks everyone.

Bimachris: I'm from Brentwood,Long Island. My town is like 70% hispanic lol.

I ended up wearing a nice button-up shirt with one of those sleeveless sweater-vest over it and dress pants. =]

Gah, I'm falling behind in school with this whole college process =[. I miss so many days. My first quarter went great. My second quarter is horrible so far. I need to pick it up before it ends.Good thing The first half of the quarter isn't over yet. God forbid I get accepted then taken away.

Anyone else falling behind in school?

I was, but then I finished apps. I have 2 more weeks in this semester left (including finals) to salvage my grades

Nope, I did better 2nd six weeks than the first...only one B! Now I just need to continue that trend by finishing these essays for AP Euro. Uh...

glad it went well for you, NyJeo!

Bryan- I was guessing, cause it does seem like it is in that order according to every year's ED threads.

No school for me! Left 2 weeks ago :D (We don't 'graduate' because they want us to stay another year to take some private exam in order to officially 'graduate' which I don't want to)

What kind of school do you go to?

^in the Malaysian education system, students in public schools/some privates graduate after Form 5 (or equivalent to Grade 12) but I'm in an independent Chinese private school and so they have this board of independent Chinese schools. The board has this exam called UEC which you could use for college credits but it's crazy hard to score, so why waste my time? I'd rather work and enjoy my little town for 8 months.

Since my school is private they can basically do whatever they like and make us not graduate (only "leave the school", as they call it; we don't get a diploma, we get a leaving school certificate instead) if we don't take UEC which requires an extra year.

Oh, and school calendar starts in Jan and ends in Nov.

ah nice nice Jeo.

What! Fiona! You lucky slacker lol. Did they email you yet?

Does NYU release details on how many from each department were accepted?
Any information would help settle my anxiety a little at this point...

I got the academic expectations booklet today and then I saw the typical admissions thin letter envelope with the semi-nice paper and I almost crapped myself... but then it was a letter from Columbia hahahah

I got the admissions booklet today as well.

how many kids get admissions offers for film?

Dude what the hell was with that academic expectations booklet! how could they scare me like that i almost cried.

that booklet is such a tease!
gaygaygay!

what booklet r u guys talking about?

NYU sent out an "academic expectations" booklet in the mail the other day.
it just outlined some of the courses in each NYU school, gave some students in each school and their backgrounds, etc.
then it talked about various opportunities that may come from attending NYU.
to be quite honest, it was just a tease.
"this is what we expect IF you get in."
