Official NYU ED thread!

Goddamn. shiznits. oh boom shaka laka boom boom.

So.. someone got into a NON LSP program already? damnnn

I hear of two kids who got into CAS last week, really early. Though they were special international cases or something

im going to be so high strung this week =/

um holy crap ppl already got in to other programs besides LSP? ......can't handle this..

I'm hoping those were all special cases. :/ I mean, NYU directly is saying that they're not sending letters out until late the week of the 8th and its only Monday, so there's still a lot of time. If that makes anyone feel slightly more positive at all...I'm trying. :)

The effort is definitely appreciated, dude.

yes thank you seriously appreciated

Thanks Bryan!

Ugh tomorrow my biggest interview ever in my whole life. I don't want to come this far and then... D:

I'll tell you guys how it went =]. Good luck to everyone. After tomorrow I'll be with you guys waiting for hopefully a big package in the mail.

Hey NyJeo, your letter might come a lot later though cause of HEOP. My friend who got into Stern HEOP got his letter on like the 23rd lmao.

Good luck to you though man! Tell me how it goes! And look sharp! lmao

Good luck!!

Lmao. Yea I heard about it taking a bit longer =[. And its around Christmas! lol. Gah!

Yea got my clothes all iron and ready for tomorrow 8-).

Good Luck Ny Jeo! If anyone deserves this, it is you. Just remember to be your self and you will be just fine.

clarkburglar- i'm international, and no email yet. :(

good luck NyJeo! :)

eta:
I would assume that all international kids will get their emails at the same time: accepted, lsp-ed or rejected?
because you know, in snail mail order for Americans it's LSP, normal offer of admissions and then rejection letters?

Hi ED applicants.

I am a transfer to NYU for spring 2009. NYU e-mailed me today with the following message....

Dear ,

The Committee on Undergraduate Admissions has completed its review of Early Decision applicants to the class of 2013 at New York University. The Committee carefully considered the credentials provided in support of your application, and it is with real regret that I must inform you that we are unable to offer you admission.

Each year, NYU receives applications from many more qualified applicants than we are able to admit. This year, we received nearly 3,000 Early Decision applications, making it one of the most competitive years in the history of the University. Unfortunately, with so many applicants for a limited number of positions in the entering class, we simply are not able to offer admission to every student with strong credentials.

We sincerely appreciate the interest you have shown in New York University. On behalf of the Committee, I wish you every success in your future academic pursuits.

Sincerely,
Barbara Hall
Associate Provost for
Enrollment Management

I am kind of iffy about it because I am a transfer and not an early decision applicant. I really hope they send the wrong e-mail..

I don't want to be rejected! :(

hey man if they really sent the right email to you... I am sorry! But don't be sad, life's gonna have to continue and I believe that if you work hard towards your goal you would still be successful! So don't let one thing draws you back.

Since they are sending out emails already... I suspect that I will receive mine tonight or tomorrow night, I am fully prepared for what to come. Good Luck to everyone here! (Except Stern ED Applicants, haha I kid)

btw when did you receive this email?

I just realized that letters start going out tomorrow guys!!!! Now excuse me while I go have a panic attack...

Coolant-

That sounds wierd because you applied as a transfer student. Also, ED emails only go out to international students. You might want to frop them a line to make sure that was meant for you.

Hey guys. My interview went great =]. We talked for a real long time i lost track lol. I was the last one to finish the interview (everyone had their own individual interviewer).
I think he liked me. Hopefully I get accepted.

After the interview my 2 friends from my high school that go to NYU(they are current freshmen) went out to eat at the Kimmel center. It was so cool. A great experience. I can imagine myself going to school there =D.

I'll find out by the end of December though :(
