@TheCalculator I’m don’t want to get caught up in discussing-test-questions problem, but I will just say that in the last conversation you were having with sodone, you were wrong. I am 100% sure you are wrong. If you would like to try to convince me, go right ahead. lol

I don’t need to convince anyone lol but I’m going to anyways bcuz I got Nothing to do rn. Well, let’s play devil’s advocate. Define amazement? The kids just stretched out to show the spaciousness of the car. We have no insight as to what they are thinking, so how could you say that they are amazed? Conversely, the other answer states - the kids happily complied. Sonny said ’ kids go inside the car and show your parents how awesome the car is or something along the lines of That. The kids did what sonny said in a jovial manner ,as Supported by the text saying that they had smiles on their faces. The answer is quite apparent, after playing devil’s advocate.

If you read the passage as a whole & try to put yourself in the shoes of college board, you’ll find that the correct answer HAS to be substantiated by the textual evidence, even the inference Q’s. Don’t worry about it; it’s only one question.

@TheCalculator is right. It is “happily obeying”.

Im crying guys. I feel like I’m in denial, the kind of denial a drug addict goes through to justify his actions. Have you guys ever wished that you could go against the laws of physics, and common sense/logic just so you could have your answer(s) be the right answer(s)? Well I am going through that right now. I missed 4 in crit reading so far. God knows how many more I missed and potential ones I missed in writing and math due to careless errors. I was shooting for a 2300 :(

@IAmTheGOAT It’s ok, it’s just a test. A stupid test, to be honest. If you already have a 2200 or 2100, it really depends your extra-curricular activities and how to present yourself in the essay when it comes to colleges, how you fit in with the school, and other arbitrary factors like race or gender or blah blah blah. I’ve seen people who got 2300’s and were rejected from all the Ivies, and I’ve seen those who got 2100’s and were accepted… so don’t worry too much, just prepare for a retake and don’t give up :)

Is the SAT different outside the US? I don’t think I’ve seen the CR questions most people talked about in this thread, I’m freaking out a little. (I took it outside the US)

@islander1108‌ Doubtful but possible. Actually, you should look up other threads due that info tbh, and @sodone‌ I have a 2090 sat and a 33 act. Took the sat almost a year ago, and feel much better about it now… I dont know‌ if my 33 act is a good enough cushion for ivys though

@islander1108 Yeah if you’re outside the U.S. then you probably took the international test (there’s a thread for that!) so don’t worry haha. @IAmTheGOAT A 33 is a pretty good score. I think it’s equivalent to, like, a 2150-2200 on the SAT, but I’m not really sure how the two tests compare, sorry! I wouldn’t worry too much about it though. The 1-year gap seems a little long, but if you manage to get a 2200+ from a 2090, that increase will help a lot even if you can’t get a 2300 in the end. As far as I’m concerned, colleges love it when you work hard and improve; it shows a lot of persistence and potential.

thanks for discussing guys. i was debating about picking the other choice but i might have misread HAPPILY. that pretty much gives it away. Still though i think that’s the only one I missed in that reading passage. I screwed up on the gymnast one. the one where the author thought she was candid. i put more effort than her competitors and how i did not pick unremarkable for the coach baffles me. also the first question for the smell one, i didn’t understand the humor at that time. yikes :O

Can two or three people give me estimates on my score?

Math: 1 to 3 wrong (answered)

CR: 12-14 wrong (answered)

Writing: 12 wrong (answered) w/essay score of 10

@TheCalculator‌ Hi do you mind predicting my scores as well?
CR 3-4 mistakes Omitted:4 (i suck at vocab)
Math: positive 1 grid in wrong and like maybe 3-4 silly mistakes
Writing -4 with a 9-10 essay score?

Does anyone here think one of the math sections was experimental? My first math section with the grid ins was unusually difficult and I struggled quite a bit. For my form that math section was my first section of the whole test. Does anyone agree with me?

can someone please predict my score?
Math: 1 - 3 Wrong (answered)
Cr: 3 - 5 Wrong (answered)
Writing: (3 - 6) wrong (answered, and a 11 essay)
