I am proud, but mostly happy that he can be around others who love to learn. BTW–I think that Pomona does consider the fact that your son attends a “super overachieving” HS, so perhaps that can be brought to their attention.

It was amazing to hear the admissions counselor addressing the class of 2013 in August when he said, “Worrying about grades is all behind you now…you are just here to learn.” Whew!

I had my Alumni interview a couple days ago, and I’m really excited.
Pomona is definitely my first choice. Its a bit of a reach, but, that’s how its supposed to work, right? I’m a white male from Ohio. Pomona needs cute accents, right?

First choice! I feel pretty rotten for not applying ED2, but oh well. Hopefully my supplement essay (the best one I’ve ever written, I think) will show just how much I want to be there! Have any other RD applicants not received an application confirmation yet? I was sent an email about five days after submitting my full common app and supplement, but it only acknowledged receipt of my preliminary app (which I had sent weeks earlier).

And by the way, I submitted a music recording (viola) and athletic supplement (xc/track). Any other runners?

Bump. Come on, you guys. I refuse to allow Pomona to be the LAC which hasn’t been posted to in the longest amount of time. :]

So who’s excited? I really want to know if I got in. I got into Swat this past weekend, and the only other school I think I would consider is Pomona, so I’m pretty anxious. (Unless I magically get into Yale, but. Well.)

Anyhow. I’m from Texas, a prospective linguistics major. Somebody talk!

I heard last year lots of people got them around the 28th or so. laksdjf I almost wish we had a specific date so I won’t be checking the mail every day!

@coin, I’m also a prospective linguistics major! And, like you, I was just accepted to another LAC (Amherst), but I’m still madly in love with Pomona. Fingers crossed!
