Also, since Princeton is taking an approach to accepting transfers and modeling themselves after the other Ivy Leagues, I’m guessing they will accept around what Yale or Harvard took, (Yale: 41, Harvard: 13).

@AGuyWithAFry Ahhh, I always like a person who does their research, thank you. I agree with your assessment on the decision date, I’d expect something around the 10th.
As for the amount of students admitted, it might be somewhere between Harvard and Yale’s, but I can tell you that they plan to enroll 12 students, so I don’t expect the number of admitted students to be too much higher than that.
@AGuyWithAFry I heard they are only taking 12 transfers this year
@SmartJarhead Hey! I’m a veteran also. Have you worked with Service 2 School at all? On the financial aid portal, do you think the GI Bill will fall under the “outside scholarships”? Best of luck to everyone! Shouldn’t be too long.
@imaphilote Hey! I was working with the Leadership Scholar Program that’s run by the Marine Corps, but honestly, after a month my advisor fell off the grid and hasn’t helped with much. It is what it is, has Service 2 School been helpful for you? I don’t remember listing it as a scholarship, I may have forgotten to list it at all but I’m sure once I start using it the FA will be adjusted by the school. Did you make sure to apply to Stanford as well? They are super friendly towards veterans in the transfer applicant pool. I think typically about half or more than half of the accepted transfers are veterans.
@SmartJarhead Service 2 School has been alright. I really think the VetLink program run by them offers a pretty good advantage. I applied to Stanford, also! I know a few guys that were accepted last year, and I figured it was worth a shot. Have you seen any changes on your Princeton App or Financial Aid portals?
@imaphilote Oh nice, hope we get into some of these awesome schools too! I haven’t seen any changes to either of the portals yet.
Did anyone have “Report your outside scholarship to Princeton Financial Aid Office - Will be available on May 1, 2018” pop up on their financial aid portal?
Okay. Cool. I’m guessing that for financial aid, transfers are treated like freshmen and that this popping up isn’t in reference to our applications being reviewed.
@imaphilote @IndirectProofs do you guys think that decisions are coming out May 1st in that case? What could this mean?
I hope it’s May 1st that would be really cool!
@CC12342021 That would be dope, but I doubt it. They should be sending an email to us to let everyone know when decisions come out officially. This is my first time applying to a four year school, so this is all brand new to me, but from talking to some other regular freshman applications, their financial aid portal says the same thing. I spoke to someone that was accepted RD (on a different website) and their portal had it on there. I haven’t asked anyone that was rejected RD to see if they saw a difference. Best of luck to everyone!
did anyone email princeton about the specific date that they will release the decision. I haven’t heard back from any schools that I am applying to yet…
It is probably too soon for them to know when.
I’d guess on or around May 15, but its really hard to guess since there are no previous years to go by.
Did anyone elses portal change? The checklist isn’t there anymore.
Mines still the same, at least mobile version. I’ll check on my laptop again when I get home.
@IndirectProofs You gave me a miniheartattack lol, my heart cant take this many college decisions in one day- my portal is still the same, nothing changed at all. Have you checked yours again?
Usually checklists disappearing foreshadow decisions coming out.
My checklist is still there.
