@cherry
Thank you! ^▁^ I know what you mean! I’m always on, lol.

God, CC is like a drug.

@John12w I’ll probably only watch the movie if I get into Princeton. I think it would be too painful for me otherwise haha :P

I’m a CC addict.

Watching the movie with a friend before my admissions decisions

^i’m seeing it with a friend on wednesday, bracing ourselves for rejection

Admissions before rejections. So poetic :p

I’ll be watching it too!!

I hope to get a chance to watch it before the decisions… maybe just afterwards to try feel better xP haha

I don’t think runnerxc actually got a reply - I don’t know what Princeton would consider a significant enough drop in grades to rescind an offer of admission. I know they are very understanding of extenuating circumstances so if that is the case I would let them know what is happening for you right away.

The best idea is to go straight to the source. Call admissions and ask them! They are really helpful and non-judgemental - they always treated my son (and us as parents) with the utmost respect and tried to offer clear/concrete answers to our questions. They also know many students are really worried they will lose their admission standing over some issue that arises.

From what I have seen and heard, many Princeton students suffer from a terrible case of imposter syndrome their first year - a far cry from the assumption that many people make that Ivy students are very confident and perhaps even arrogant (although those probably exist too). I think it starts immediately after being accepted and there are a lot of flare ups throughout that freshman year (perhaps even second year and beyond). If you are having worrisome thoughts I can guarantee you will not be the first one to call and ask.

@runnerxc

I am almost certain that B’s cannot be a reason for rescinding an acceptance offer. (even if you only made A’s in high school).
C’s or below on the other hand, MIGHT be a reason.

I have a pretty amusing (and sad…) story

When I was doing my common app and uploading my Princeton supplement essays, my internet was slow because it was close to 11:59PM. I didn’t want to “preview” the supplement because I thought it would take forever. So I just uploaded my supplement and was happy.
But about two or three weeks later… I went on commonapp again to preview all of my supplements. And I clicked the Princeton one, I was reading through it, I noticed that instead of my “Princeton in the Nation’s Service” essay, I uploaded the “Why Northwestern” essay.

So even though the admissions officers may have already read it, I emailed Princeton about my situation and if they can upload my actual essay. The lady who replied said she uploaded the Princeton essay that I attached, but she said nothing about removing my Northwestern essay. What’s worse? I got rejected from Northwestern…

Oh @ryanclevery I feel for you… that’s so awkward… I wouldn’t have the guts to try and send my actual essay though so kudos

Great! You guys should let us know if you liked the movie or not :p

@ryanclevery: sorry to hear that. Hopefully who ever reads it will understand! If not, I’m sure you applied to other incredible colleges, so there’s still hope!

Five days left, fellas!

I’m really hoping for this one. The interview was so incredible but people always say those dont matter

I can’t wait for this… hopefully an acceptance to join my sister as a Tiger!

Eh, I’m hoping that someone took mercy on my app somehow. My stats don’t add up the way the acceptees on the decisions threads usually do, but if I at least make the waitlist I’ll be okay. Good luck to everyone here!

Two more days!

I hope the website doesn’t crash when decisions come out, like it did last time. Apparently, though, admitted students were able to log into https://www.princeton.edu/admitted/ so if my decision doesn’t load I’ll try that.

Ty for the link, miss!

I have a terrible feeling that I will be rejected simply because in the short answer section I put an adjective and an adverb as my two adjectives friends would use to describe me. Also, for another: ‘your favourite source of inspiration’, I wrote about a paragraph.

Oh man @POmani, that would suck so hard…
