Official Princeton University SCEA Class of 2017 Thread!

D got same as MissXSilverWing, except swap the M & W :-)

I didn’t get contacted, but under the early action FAQs they mention that you should send them. Don’t worry about that now though! Less than 3 days=)

I never sent mine though  I’m only asking because I figure that their asking for the grades would indicate interest farther down the line

On the Princeton checklist, there was nothing about sending senior year grades for early action applicants. We just need to send the midyear report if accepted or deferred.

the Q&A page, however, did mention them (at the bottom of the link):

[Princeton University | Early Action FAQs](http://www.princeton.edu/admission/applyingforadmission/single-choice-early-actio/early-action-faqs/)

I don’t know anymore, but I feel that the admission office’s not requesting the grades (following my not sending them) could only really mean deferral at best

I would not assume this means deferral. They may have changed their policy and don’t require them anymore? Well, regardless, it’s too late now.

Yeah, I really don’t feel like that means anything. It’s tempting to take everything as a sign, but in reality, I don’t think that we will actually know anything until Tuesday.

Until this point, I’ve resisted the “What Are My Chances?” forum, but now I’m tempted… I’m just really not sure if I’m actually underqualified or I only feel underqualified. :P

I haven’t heard of anyone who was contacted for their quarter grades. Since they’re not required, I would not assume not sending them would mean a deferral (like guacamole said). It’s not like a part of your application is missing, because it’s not actually required.

I second @bregle

We were not required to send quarter grades bc some schools (like mine) don’t even have them available. We split the year by semesters.

If you guys (like me) are desperately trying to pass the time between now and Tuesday, you should chance me to take your mind off of it  http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1430767-i-swore-i-wouldnt-give-ask-chances-but-here-i-am-pton-rice-emory.html#post15191854

Incidentally, I am so happy for all of my friends who are being admitted to amazing schools, but it makes me so nervous! I probably won’t go to Pton if I get in, but I just want to know that I can, haha.

Did all of you receive a letter from Princeton Admission Director requesting that you consider Princeton during your college search? Not the typical generic colorful flyer type thing most send out but an actual letter (form letter but a letter none the less). Around Octoberish??

Theoretically speaking, I personally feel that I have everything great except the SAT. Toefl. Subject tests, and AP are awesome (most of them were independent study). My gpa is also awesome. It’s just the sat… But again, what can be done right now? Not much. From now on, I shall dedicate my time to the search of dog pictures.

Not looking forward to Tuesday. Not only do I have finals for the better part of that day, but I have to take them while anticipating (and dreading) the decision.

Just 2 days and 16 hours left guys!!

I’m off to watch the Hobbit  Hopefully I’ll get a 2 hour break from all this unnecessary anxiousness…

I know how you feel. I have finals on Tuesday, but it’s a half day, so I already asked my friend to hang out with me until 3pm CST. Only two more full days!!! I just need to get through tomorrow, haha, and then I’ll have school to distract me.

Hey folks, haven’t posted much to this point but now the decision’s only two days away. I just don’t know what I’ll do to pass the time during school on Tuesday; I’ll probably just listen to a lot of Jay-Z and remind myself that this is only the first option, with many more to come. But good luck to y’all

Man. I wish I could get my mind off of college applications. The issue is, ever since college apps have started I have spent massive amounts of time playing Call of Duty to blow off steam. However, I have become one of the better players on my favorite server, so now I get so worked up playing CoD (and trying to win every game, of course) that I get more frustrated than I otherwise would be. Maybe I should take up watching golf…

LOL COD. i mentioned that in part of my princeton supplement lololol. nazi zombies to be specific i guess

Just to clarify, I’m not into video games THAT much. It’s important to maintain a healthy balance between mindless fun and real life. I think that talking about Nazi Zombies in a college application is, of itself, destructive to the idea of a high-achieving scholar. Just my two cents.

eh it was a reference to some deeper thingy about spending points and stuff so i think it should be fine
