*OFFICIAL PSAT THREAD 2014 (US)*

For the triangle question I’m pretty sure 2 of the Roman numerals had a “<bc” so those 2 must be right

Curve hoping it’s easyat was extremely hard!

Math was hard so hope curve is easy

Predict my score please
CR: -5/6
Math: -1
W: -1

CR: 67-70
Math: 78 (Based on previous references, the curve must be easy this year)
Writing: 76-78

For the grammar section, find the error there was a question that had “in an age when” underlined. was that wrong?

@running1998‌
i thought that was wrong because it should have been “in an age where” but idk

@bingington‌ i just looked it up apparently “in an age where” is a grammatically incorrect colloquialism. i guess it was no error then i didnt see anything else wrong

I believe it should be “In an age when”

What question was this? Does anyone have more context?

CR: couldn’t the “gift for friendship” be preference? she either liked them or would dismiss them if they have the slightest faults.

Math: a^n = b^y+4, what is a^2n equal to?

Writing: By posting information about the calories on the menu, people could make healthier choices or Because the restaurant had posted?

I don’t know what the question is, but “Because the restaurant had posted” seems to be correct (that is what I had). The original sentence implies that the people put information about calories, not the restaurant.

Really? I thought the CR was SUPER difficult and the math VERY VERY VERY easy.

@Jamanda I said it was by preference. Capacity didn’t make sense to me because she certainly had the capacity for it. She had a ‘gift’ in that she was able to been very picky in her friends in her preferences.

Math: I believe it’s B^2y+8

Writing: It needs to be “Because the restaurant had posted,” Saying by posting information about calories, the sentence means that the people are posting them.

man i thought reading was easy and math difficult. what did u guys get for the fathers impression of the guy- disapproving or reproachful?

This was my first CollegeBoard examination so I was wondering… what are “good” or “above average” (not genius) scores for a sophomore?

@silverphi For this, I said disapproving. Reproachful is too strong of a word, and he never really expressed his disapproval harshly except for his general attitude.

I never really like the P-SATs. The questions (especially the reading questions) always seem a tad different from the actual SAT.

Thank you @Junboi‌ for actually telling us what the choices were. Now I know I wasn’t hallucinating. The answer to the triangle question is definitely I and III then.

You would be right, had they not included the word “fidelty” which means loyalty. It said they had fidelity. Fidelity = loyalty. Therefore, they had loyalty. If you need anymore clarification let me know.
