How Could I Miss That -1 Slope Problem!!!!!! Simplest Problem On The Test!

ummm..... maybe a 740-760 gxing

yeah the one for -1 was easy

That's pretty generous vinny...wasn't the curve last year 80 77 74 70?

80 76 72 ... for math

it happens game ..... try not to think of it ..... i mean you cant change your answer - just wipe it out of your brain (you can re-visit it in december when u get ur scores back ) ... its hard to stop thinking about a problem that you got wrong that was asy (i have been thorugh it)...... but it does not do anything productive by thinking about it .......

logicus, the curve's that harsh?

yes, but you have to add some points because this yr's math was much harder than last year's math ....... In my school people were shocked on how hard the math was ..... last year, everybody said it was a breeze (except for maybe a random problem here and there ) ...... their is definetly a big difference between this year and last year

I don't know. I took it both years; I didn't find this years harder. Do you have any reason why you think this year's is harder?

I wouldnt say hard, but the time limit and equations you needed

It was harder, I thought. I got 80 last year. However, all of the problems I could've gotten right if I wasn't so careless.

YARRR mateys, I feelz I be doin' pretty darn gud on teh PeeSAt. And you....scurvy Affie. the answer is 165. Dicktionary.com definez integer az: A member of the set of positive whole numbers 1, 2, 3,... , negative whole numbers -1, -2, -3,... , and zero {0}.
A complete unit or entity.

YARRRRRRRR

I personally did not find the math hard - but I have talked to many of the people in my school and other friends in other schools who say it was hard. Why? Just like JustFitz, you needed to know some equations, Ibelieve there were harder algebraic expressions that needed to be simplified/reduced ..... and the time factor definetly played a role - On the math section I got 2 wrong .. 1 on the MC and 1 on the Grid-in .. i got one of the easiest grid-in one's wrong because i was rushing ...... idk, i just believe it was harder... I am looking at last years PSAT ... and it seems a piece of cake compared to this years

The hardest math problem last year was
"If a and b are numbers such that (a+8)(a-8) = 0 , what is the smallest possible value of a^2 + b^2 ...

I mean , I cant believe you are comparing last year's math to this year's!!!

I'm looking at the older scores and it was a breeze!

I know JUST2 - this yr was harder overall (writing might of been a little easier or the same)

ok.... just read the whole thing (25pgs)... have some input
1. it was 165
2. -3/8
3. -1
4. umm i put 10%... it was not 13.3333% (jk... crap)

OK... this was a MAJOR trick question in my opinion... the question was something like " when he counts by 3's OR 4's he has 1 left over, when he counts by 5's he has none left over, what is the smallest number he could have?" i put (a) 5 because it asks for 3 OR 4 not 3 AND 4, so the smallest would be you choose 4 and get one... most people put 25... but i think it was a trick question and I will def complain if i am wrong.... TRICKY!!!!!!

the answer was 5 ... good job

I made a chart, but anyways... I'm doing this math over again and it took me only about 10 minutes. ARGGHH, The writing this year was easy... maybe because I practiced days before.

Uhhh, Im pretty sure it was 25....
