***OFFICIAL Psychology Thread 2013-2014***

Man, this google doc though. LOVE YOU ALL.

WE ARE JUST SO COOL FOR MAKING A GOOGLE DOCS. WE ARE GENIUS #SWAG #GETTIN5’S

@VS12345‌ What you just referenced supports the genetic influence on IQ, not the environmental influence.

What was the one about the kid taking a test in the other room?

The Google docs is amazing!

@hjjulie Context effect. :)

Is it okay if I did the first FRQ out of order? I accidentally wrote the first two bullet points on another page and my graph was messy so I re-drew it it on another page. I wrote a little note though.

i dont know about anyone else but this google docs is making me nervous about my answers…i realized that i made some stupid mistakes on some, does anyone else feel this way?

^it’s better to use something like a symbol as a placeholder for where it would have been in your response, and again where you actually wrote it. easier for the reader than a note

Was it just me, or did you guys refer to Abram as Abraham on the 2nd FRQ? Also, If I were to miss about 20 and say I only dropped 2 points for the FRQ, what score am I due up for?

@oabama6464 that’s a 5 unless the curve is really strict. ALSO THANK YOU ALL FOR THE GOOGLE DOC, CAUSE I THOUGHT I GOT LIKE 30 MC WRONG WHEN I REALLY ONLY GOT 29 WRONG :)) :)) :)) lol but seriously ty everyone

@obama6464 I called him allen at one point haha

wow is it just me or was the ap psych exam a lot harder than last years???

ok i edit after going through the thread i am probably most likely the minority who thought that it was okayish-hard

@mylifeisgone195 well for cramming this in 2 weeks, I thought it was easier than expected. Also, the barron’s practice tests were so much harder. Also I did end up making stupid mistakes so we’ll have to wait and see.

Really? I thought the MC was pretty hard too, how hard do you guys think the curve will br

Similar to previous years if not a bit more harsh. ~80% +/- 3% perhaps for a 5?

@capitalamerica‌ how much on the frqs are we assuming?

80% on the test overall for composite score. There’s then room for variation in the combination of the two scores like an 85% on MC but a 70% on FRQ’s give you ~80%.

If you want to give yourself some leg room, you can use the curve from 2008, which was 75.3% for a 5 (composite score of 113/150).

No I don’t think it will be harsher. The test was definitely harder than other years. It will be 75% if not lower.

@dextrous how do you know the test was harder than past years?
