Official Questbridge National College Match 2010-2011

Has anyone else written anything under the “Additional Information” section of the essay portion?

@kathryns I wrote something but I know a lot of people who didn’t, so if you don’t have anything else to add to your app I wouldn’t put anything. I wouldn’t write something there just because you don’t want to leave it blank.

Will we get a confirmation email when we’re done? can we still edit them even after we sent it? before october 5?

E-mail: No
Editing: Yes

I submitted my app on Thursday, but if I decide to change something and submit it again, will I be labeled as a procrastinator?

Yes, because only the procrastinators had problems with the server being non-responsive Thursday and Friday. So I wouldn’t take the risk that they think that you were one of the hundreds of people who were unable to submit an application because of server problems.

Well I submitted it at 11:59… I don’t think it would make much of a difference?

I was being sarcastic. You’re obsessing over nothing. If there’s something you want to fix, fix it.

Can someone explain to me exactly how QB works (or give me a link that explains it)? I’m currently a Sophomore and I plan on using it (excellent academic record, extremely poor (~$30,000/yr income), planning on applying to Ivy-League-tier schools). I understand that it helps grant scholarships and deal out acceptances to kids like me, but… how? When do I get started? What do I do?

What happens if you submit your applications even though your transcript and scores aren’t faxed yet?

And once you submit, can you still go back and edit something and resubmit?

Thanks

stef1a, take a look at the QB FAQ on the QB website, should answer pretty much all the questions you have.

I have a question. I submitted my application on Wednesday. The server problem won’t affect my application if I submitted before the crash, right?

^ no (10char)

We can edit after we submit and re-submit before the deadline? How does that work?

Can someone answer my question please?

And btw, what does 10char mean? (I’m new here  )

^ Same question as Luminouzz here. I just found out that my dad gave me the wrong address to use on the application, so I was wondering if I could fix it rather than be accused of lying. Is there anyone we should contact for this just in case?

Idk, but it definitely lets you edit, even after it says complete. The edit button is in the same place as before, and it saves the changes that you make.

^Is there any evidence that these changes are submitted?

I’m not sure- I submitted thursday night, and did some editing today, hit submit, and the changes show up under view application.

I posted a personal photo while the server was having difficulties, so it uploaded incorrectly. Now the photo file “cannot be retrieved.”

The button for uploading the photo disappeared from its original location. Anybody know how I can try to reupload my photo?
