@Kurumiru, I don’t know! But I’d contact QB asap.

@nicksyn, I’m wondering the same thing. I don’t know whether I just mail it or my counselor should. My school has no established procedure.

Through the Common App.

coocoocachoo, why would Princeton have its address on the “Official Transcripts” section of its Match requirements if they just wanted it through CommonApp?

for LAW, ARTS, and FIRST GENERATION???
WHat question did it ask???
(yes I know they were due… I just have to know ASAP. thank YOu!)

@HardcoreParkour

Nicksyn was referring specifically to recommendations, which they are requesting through the Common Application.

As for Princeton transcripts, they want you to mail official transcripts to that address.

Some schools ask you to mail them, some ask for them to be submitted electronically. Look on the College-Specific Requirements page to see what your ranked colleges would like.

The key word here is official. A print out of your transcript will not suffice.

Ask your counselor how you could obtain this, or if she/he could do this for you.

I guess I’m just having a hard time finding how to do recommendations through the common app…

@nicksyn

Forms to register recommenders can be found under the School Forms tab. You must register your recommenders through a form on the Common App , and then they will receive an email from Common Application with further instructions.

Thanks! It all makes sense now :P

@ John - I submitted October 11, a six days after the deadline. I really hope such a little thing doesn’t do too much to set you back. (:

guys…when I view one of my faxes, it comes on my screen upside down

is that a problem?

^Absolutely! That means the fax was received upside down, you’ll have to re-fax!..No, not really. It just means you need to flip your monitor back around.

well, I mean I myself don’t care that it’s upside down, but that means THEY recieved it upside down…it doesnt matter how it’s recieved though, right? bc it comes out as a paper anyway, they can just flip it.

unless it’s this online process…=/
do you guys think its a problem?

I don’t think it’ll be a problem. They’ll just flip it or do whatever is necessary. Don’t worry about it.

thanks guys =)

another thing, I sent my transcript and test scores multiple times bc i never knew when one of them got in
on My Locker, I have 3 seperate faxes for Transcript and Test Scores
the first just has my transcript
the second just has my act report
the third has both, but the fax is upside down

I know the info is repetitive, so which one should i delete? the upside down one or the two that came out right?

better question - does it matter if we faxed our transcript and test scores in separate faxes?

I do not think they care if it is upside down or if it is in two different faxes. The QB people seem somewhat laid back - so long as everything is there. I wouldn’t even worry about deleting anything. Just leave it all and let them decide.

yeah that’s what I thought…

thanks you so much! =)

I’m really concerned about how the individual schools will receive my October SAT and ACT scores by November 1st. They said that they will accept October scores but they also said November first. I doubt that they can send the scores so quickly.
Who can help :(

^don’t worry, there must be a way: “Request official score reports from the College Board and/or ACT as soon as you are notified of your QuestBridge finalist status on October 22. You should not use the “rush reporting” service.”

Besides test scores, many documents such as transcript and financial documents need to be submitted by mail for some schools. Do we need to mail the materials POSTMARKED by Nov. 1st? Or do they need to receive these documents by Nov. 1st? I also need to mail additional letter of recs. Someone help please!

^I wonder this as well. Getting my financial aid documents ready within in a week is going to have to be a miracle if I get chosen as a finalist. I don’t even live with my parents. Le sigh.

“If you are submitting materials by mail, the postmark deadline is November 1.”

This statement I found on quite a few of the Questbridge partner colleges, so I’m almost positive that probably all the QB colleges just want it postmarked by Nov. 1st.

I have another question: I’m sure many of us are preparing the Common App and are adding colleges. If we are selected QB finalists, then we can apply to some of our Common App schools through QB instead. Does anyone know how many of the QB schools we can apply too RD?
