I think I’ve refreshed my email about 100000000 times:/ still waiting

I’m nervous :s

YEEEAAHH BOOOII! Im a finalist!
:)

I have same question as Sinflower . I also changed my mind and would like to opt out and use questbridge regular decisions…Is it possible to still opt out even though i submitted rankings already?

Finalist :O

now im wondering, i ranked 8 colleges but I’m not US citizen nor permanent resident… should i drop the 5 other colleges? :/

also, damn, 1 week to get the stuff in :/

Match Agreements are definitely binding, so I don’t think you can opt out. But maybe if you just don’t submit the supplemental stuff, they won’t consider you?

Earlier this month somebody said that you could opt out… if you only agreed to non-binding schools. But if I can’t, then I’d like to drop one college.

I’m also questioning if I should opt out and do regular decision. I heard that the finalist round is super competitive.

I’m curious, what schools did you guys put in your list?

Still no reply:$

I Have not received an email, but I saw the following message on my account:

Congratulations! you have been selected to join the college match forums

I am also able to revise my rankings. Does this mean I’m a finalist?

JohnRevka, have you checked your spam folder?

@Arydesia, I think ill apply anyways. Maybe they’ll give me something even if I didn’t get full ride or the questbridge scholarship

@JohnRevka This is what it said on my email:
Dear Jiahui,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been chosen as a finalist for the 2010 QuestBridge National College Match. We were impressed by your commitment to academic excellence, as well as your determination to succeed despite socioeconomic obstacles.

Still no reply:$

@jamoretti:

Brown University 2. Yale University

Pomona College 4. University of Chicago

University of Pennsylvania 6. Northwestern University

Trinity College 8. Oberlin College

I’ve read somewhere that some of those schools don’t care if you’re legally in this country.

I know for sure, though, that Trinity and Oberlin do require at least permanent residency. I think you should still give it a shot at the other schools, if you’re a finalist that means you have a shot.

:( no reply on my account or email

It should say completed and submitted under application status right???

Can’t go nowhere or do anything til I know:/

OH MY GOD thank you so much. I just checked and saw that I’m a finalist…and also that 16/21 other messages in there are from Questbridge, hahaha.

finalist! :)
