I have a question regarding sending SAT scores. I received my June SAT Reasoning score report and sent it to four colleges. However, I have since swapped one of the schools I want to receive it for another. This October, I received my SAT subject test scores and would like to send those to my updated list of schools. Should I resend all of the scores to all of my schools by ordering new score reports.? Are subject test and regular SAT scores included on the same score report?

I just sent in my sat scores for my colleges, but while i was doing it, I learned that it takes 1 to 2 weeks for the scores to get there. Since this will pass the November 1 deadline, does that mean the colleges won’t accept my scores or something like that since it will be late?

Anyone applying to Stanford or Columbia, are you submitting transcripts? I can’t find any sort of info about submitting transcripts for these schools?

Ironturtle, I’ve been wondering the same thing. My guess is that the one our counselors should have included in our Secondary School Report is sufficient.

Also, is anybody applying to Penn here? Have you received your Penn ID yet? What should we do? Just send the financial documents without checking the “financial supplement online” box on the coversheet?

Stanford prefers to receive transcripts electronically. For me that meant that my counselor sent them my transcripts through a program they use…DocuFide…

I still have not sent my SAT scores yet. QuestBridge says not to use the rush-reporting service but since I didn’t immediately notify collegeboard.com on October 22nd, should I use the rush-reporting service?

I just got an email from Emory regarding my “application file”. It said that it received my application and application fee (from QB), but the email said that my counselor recommendation is “initiated” but not “completed”, but QB is supposed to forward that, right? I guess things are still being transferred from QB to all the schools, but it still feels nice that Emory has my application.

Here’s a good explanation of why from a UVA blog post by Dean J who is also a poster here on CC:

"If you get an email asking for official SAT scores to be sent, do not pay to rush your scores. Have them sent through regular delivery. Here’s why: it is our understanding that rushed scores are sent by mail. So, each student who rushes a score prompts ETS to put a half sheet of paper with their scores into an envelope to be mailed off. This creates A LOT of mail. We believe it is faster to have your scores sent the traditional way. The traditional delivery is electronic. Here’s an extremely simplistic snapshot at the two processes:

Traditional Delivery:
SAT Computer > UVa Computer
Rushed Delivery:
SAT Computer > Printer > US Postal Service > UVa Central Mail Services >
UVa Mail Delivery > Office of Admission Mail Room > Processing Staff Member > Scanner > UVa Computer"

JohnRevka, congratulations on your score increase! I don’t know the answer to your question, but suggest logging into “My Organizer” on your College Board account and checking “My Send Score History” which lists which test scores have been sent to which schools. I would think the listing there would be current, so you could see if the schools got the October score or not. (If you signed up in advance for October scores to be sent to some schools, then you could easily verify if the score history is current.) If they weren’t sent, there is still time for the schools to get them.

I’m still eligible to be matched by my other schools if I won’t be able to complete the additional requirements of one of my chosen schools, right?

@JohnRevka et al: I’m thinking the same thing. I just sent my sat scores from 06/2009 (760 M, 740 CR, 710 WR), but my best scores just arrived. (p.s. so PSYCHED!) 800 CR, 750 M, 750 WR…my life has just become less stressifyed by about a billion percent…

but do we have to send extra, or are they included…

Snowing, you had to have finished the supplement to get the penn ID right? How long did it take for them to send it to you, after you finished the supplement?
