Admissions mentioned that final decisions were made thursday/friday. They were double checking all the paperwork.
this may be a stupid question but i see “2016 Fall” so does that make a difference
So we should know either tomorrow or sometime next week?
@crossovercuber I see that too…maybe this is only for the school of engineering.
Regarding the whole “undergrad 2016-2017” and “fall 2016” thing… My portal displays both of these things, but I really do not have the stats to get into Vanderbilt. I’m having trouble believing it’s legit because there is like no chance they’re going to accept me.
@anothermuggle same here. I applied because I love the school, but I know I’m probably not going to get in because my stats just aren’t good enough. And my profile has both of these things. I’m not going to get my hopes up.
@inshm2016 Hey, I believe you that they might be coming out tomorrow. You can always hope, right?
Why did decisions come out on a Sunday last year, and does that mean that they’ll come our on a Sunday this year (this Sunday or next Sunday)?
@eskaliding Not happening next Sunday. Its Easter. Which gives it even more probability of happening tomorrow.
@TKO001 ooh yeah. I completely forgot about that! I feel like they are gonna come out tomorrow or sometime this week…
Just my thoughts:
2015 decisions were released in the portal on Sunday, March 22 at 3pm CDT.
2014 decisions were released in the portal on Friday, March 28 at 5pm CDT.
2013 decisions were released via email to international applicants on Tuesday, March 26 at 4pm CDT. Domestic applicants began receiving physical mail the same day.
There’s not much of a pattern to go off of here as far as a prediction. That said, the earliest I think we see decisions is tonight or tomorrow. There’s no historical precedent for any sooner. Although precedent doesn’t seem to mean much, especially as Vandy just started using the portal two years ago for RD. Just my opinion, but I do not think they will wait until after Easter (March 27) because that would likely push it all the way to Ivy Day (March 31) or April 1.
There’s nothing that any of us can do at this point, so I think it’s best to just keep your fingers crossed but don’t pin all of your hopes on one school, there are thousands out there that would (still) love to have you.

Good luck to everyone.
Yeah I saw that too. Like if a current student does it, they’re obviously transferring between schools and those rules apply to them, but for us, if we we able to change majors in the summer before classes start, I don’t know if there’s any sort of requirement for us because I don’t know if that’s considered a transfer.
We’ll see, I just emailed to ask my counselor about it.
@oawnstar Did you apply for financial aid? This only applies to people who 1.Didnt apply for aid and have it
2. Did apply for aid and don’t have it
This info means a lot if you think about it. If only people who applied for aid have “undergrad 2016-2017”, then why are there people who did apply for aid and NOT have it. ALSO, there are people who did not apply for aid yet still have it…you tell me people!
@whitespace Can’t seem to pull up the link…anyone else had better luck?
The fall thing is on the front page and the undergrad thing under the FA tab right?
And if this many people have it then I doubt it means anything
It will be interesting to see if everyone on here who has that was admitted. Any ED or previous year people out there who can comment on this ?
Why won’t Vanderbilt tell us when they are releasing decisions ugh
Decisions still could be today for all we know
Honestly, what on earth is taking so long? Can we not get a simple update from them? I mean cmon, really???
