Radionicist: Thank you so much, I can definitely sympathize with your son
Notre Dame will still be a part of my life, it just is so sad that I can't live there next year. Part of my doesn't want to think about transferring because then I would go into a school automatically expecting to transfer. THis is definitely the hardest thing I have ever gone through in my life.

vc08: awee thanks, this is making me emotional again seeing how great the ND family really is.

vc08 hang in there...it's tough to be waitlisted anywhere! You just never know either...you may get in and love it in the end. To correct one thing though...the legacy numbers are actually that they aim for 25% legacy. The past two years (and maybe more, just not sure) that has fallen short and they have accepted more like 22% and 21%. So, in effect, they would like to have 25%, but won't accept anyone to make the number.

Good luck with your choice~I'm sure it will all work out. You have amazing stats and will do great!

Thanks Irish! I don't remember, have you been admitted, are you a current student, or what?

But thanks for the well-wishes, I'm actually ecstatic with the selection of other schools I have available and feel very fortunate for that. I'm truly blessed! Best of luck in future endeavors to yourself as well!

Putting up stats for my D, we can't seem to land a family member at this school so we can start a legacy....Older sister was wait-listed at ND in '06, and was accepted to Northwestern....

for all of you who arent going. And anyones friends who arent.
You should all call admissions and tell them to let tim have you place.
Do they allow it, no.
But we could try...
