:)

I still havent heard yet…I live in ny is that a bad sign?? It doesn’t mean I’ve been rejected, does it?

Accepted!

I got the email today–but nothing in the mail. Is it possible they sent it to my address at school if I go to boarding school? Either way, I’m super excited! (From NJ, go to boarding school in massachusetts, btw). At this point, I think my scores are irrelevant, I’m just glad to be admitted–hope to see some of you at admitted students receptions, or something like that!

Accepted! Got my packet in the mail today  and surprisingly, the email about 3 hours after. I live in North Carolina. Good luck to everyone else who hasn’t heard!

Got too anxious I guess. Got my email just now, but no packet yet, so I don’t know about merit money or Honors. I’m just so glad to be in! AU is definitely my first choice. Now if I can just afford it. Keeping my fingers crossed!

@rmorofsky8098 I hope not. I haven’t heard back either. I believe they said they would be sending out letters all week, though.

Accepted from Ohio
Honors Program
Presidential Scholarship- $20,000
34 ACT
2230 SAT

Interested in School of International Service
Congrats to all those who were accepted!

Omg i just got the email saying congratulations and how they were inviting me to the reception in boston! I just wish I had the letter so I could know what I got for Financial Aid… Oh and I already created an AU account lol I was too excited.

My D finally got an acceptance email today(in MD)-just waiting for the package! Hang in there everyone. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this notification process!

D accepted today - Ohio
32 ACT
Dean’s Scholarship - 10k per year
Political Science

Got full tuition and Honors Tutorial at OU - can’t beat it. She’ll be working one-on-one with PS profs for four years, no frosh requirements, grad classes by soph year and master’s in four. Sorry, AU. OU is rolling out the red carpet.

Well no offense jmay, but its OU… Your daughter can be the top political science student and still not beat out an above average AU student applying for JD programs.

D got the email a few days ago and the packet today-- surprised with a $10K Dean’s Scholarship. AU had been toward the bottom of her list, but she might be moving it up. She got other scholarships elsewhere, so she’s lucky to have good choices. This will be a tough decision!

Let’s not get catty. Ohio U. is a great university in a nice town. congrats.

Now I got an acceptance email, a few days after I got the letter. Makes sense… lol.

Perhaps this is generational but does anyone else find the posting of Board Scores, GPAs and Scholarship $ amounts a bit offensive? Why does that private information need to be shared on this particular page? There can be no positive effect generated from it. To those posting it comes across as boasting and for those with lower numbers or none at all it only causes anxiety. Just a thought.

accepted - IB student with 2050 SAT, dean’s scholarship of 18000 per year.

Dplaz1. This is what this site does, it gives everybody a sense of what’s out there, and how they stack up, so that they understand the process better. it is not boasting and it decreases anxiety.

usualgirl Interesting. I see you are a Junior Member - if that means you are a student then I repeat my observation that this may be generational. From my position as a parent I see no benefit at all and public discussions of money used to be something that people didn’t do. If I didn’t get a scholarship at all how am I assisted in knowing that you got $20,000.00?

Parent here. Just weighing in to support usualgirl – this is information sharing, not boasting. Is it useful? Depends on how much you trust people posting on an internet site. There IS boasting of course – people writing in to say they’ve been accepted but it was their safety school and they really don’t care about getting in. So, yes, there’s lot of bad manners on these threads but posting stats and money received is done in the spirit of helping others get a sense of how the decisions are coming out
