Esther account information was e-mailed weeks ago. If you missed the e-mail, you just have to contact financial aid.
Has anyone received any Esther info??
Email the office of financial aid(fina@rice.edu) and ask for the Esther login info. That’s how I got mine.
Pro-Tip:
Make sure when you open the ESTHER registration you follow through with it. When I registered for it last year it was a one time link, and something was going on with the website and I had to email and wait like 4 days for fina to give me a new link
Anyone else doing work study? How do we get our jobs? Is it possible for me to secure a job now? Is it possible to work in the engineering department?
Did anyone receive Merit Aids and Need based aids?
Rice already sent home need based aids letter I am not sure about Merit aids
Congratulations to all who got in ED. Just popping in as its hard to believe that it was in Dec 2003 that DS#1 got the same email. I had a Rice hat, tshirt and car window decal ready to give him if/when the news was what he’d hoped for. Still makes me smile

I know all the financial aid stuff was filled. He seemed to have never received the esther log in stuff or if he did it got deleted the email. I guess he will have to wait 4 days. he did send something to them. Hopefully they are open over the holidays so it won’t take too long.
@saphikuri it wasn’t explicitly labeled as an optional essay, but on common app there was a space to write additionally about strengths and qualifications you thought admissions would deem noteworthy that weren’t already reflected in your application.
@handercat I’m also doing work-study, and it would be cool to work in one’s desired department! I’m going to keep my eyes peeled as soon as I step foot on campus, but my backup is library assistant. If plan A falls through, plan b will be an easy job with plenty of downtime for studies and homework.
@Steven8 I got my financial aid a wee three days ago.
If you guys join the facebook group, you can access a couple groupchats that connect you to current students. I joined one and have gotten a lot of answers to my questions already.
What about Merit Scholarship? Anyone receive it?

@Steven8 it should’ve been sent out with your admissions notification. However, that isn’t a hard and fast rule; some people get their notifications along with RD kids on April 1st. You can view updates on Esther, and if you haven’t gotten your login info, go ahead and email fina@rice.edu. I emailed them yesterday and got my login info today.

Unable to reset pin.
keeps showing up with literally every password combo I try… Am I doing something wrong? Please help! Thanks
For those accepted, on the portal did the spots for mid-year grades and final grades disappear??

Hey @newbiericer, I had the same issue! I was suggested by fellow Rice 2021 ED admitted students to try calling them, but by then the Admissions Office had closed for the holidays.
Were you able to resolve the problem and if so what did you do that worked?
