tkdkick, at the Ross admitted student campus day info session, they told us they prefer admit 300 students - assuming from past years that only 100 actually enroll.

I’m EA and have still not gotten the email about the decision coming later in april

By the way - my son applied in September. Accepted EA - no word from Ross as of 8:30 pm tonight. Just heard from a business school in Boston - full tuition scholarship. His decision on where to go is getting easier.

I applied at the end of August, and I was accepted EA, and I still haven’t heard anything back from Ross as of 8:40 tonight

Applied Early Action… got the email tonight about waiting till the end of April. disappointing. just want to know

Also got the letter for end of April.

Suspect they are doing this to boost their yield statistics.

Just got the end of April e-mail.

Got the acceptance letter today @ 2:00 PM

I applied RD, accepted to Mich March 1, accepted to Ross today. I’m really sorry for all of those who applied EA and haven’t heard back… I am very fortunate to hear back with the positive news! Best of luck to those who are still waiting on their admittance.

Before I got the e-mail today that said I have to wait until the end of April, I thought I was going to find out on April 15th if I got in or not. I’m guessing the next batch of admission decisions will be sent out then? Anyone know exactly how long we have to wait?

I’m EA, and still have not received any email

Slowdown, I’m with you too. EA and nothing

This is ridiculous.

Hey guys, I was admitted to Michigan on 12/15 for early action but I still haven’t got anything from the school for preferred admission. Isn’t it should’ve out on 4/1? I’m quite anxious god

I called the BBA office yesterday because I applied EA and was accepted the 14th of December, and hadn’t heard anything on the 1st, so they said that my application was still being reviewed by committees and I should hear back by the end of this week.

I imagine those of you who still haven’t heard an are EA admits are in the same boat

I found this on the BBA website: “If you receive your admission offer from the University of Michigan’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions on January 1, 2013 or later, the BBA Admissions office will deliver your Ross Preferred Admission decision by April 15, 2013”

If I received the e-mail from Ross saying that they will only offer me a final decision by the end of April… does this mean April 15th?

Also, I know that some people got it, but does anyone know if anyone has actually been rejected yet?

I received the following email today, as a response to an email I sent asking some questions about when I may hear. I really hope I find out soon as I am starting to get fed up [I applied ED in October, first school]. I would like to make my choice of school soon, revisit depending on what my choices are, and put down only ONE deposit; the later I hear back the harder it will be to do those things, and that is rather frustrating. Anyway, here is the email:

Congrats Pat11220!

Thanks for your update. Very informative. I think only in the fantasyland of Ann Arbor can anyone think it is acceptable or professional to suggest admission decisions could be as late as April 30 when the universal commitment date is May 1.

Fortunately, this year it is only Ross. My coworker tells me that two years ago his son and son’s friends did not even hear about admission to the University (i.e. LSA) until April 27. When the Michigan recruiter came to my daughter’s high school, she mentioned the past fiasco and said they had made changes to prevent this from recurring. I guess she was wrong.

Anyway, in addition to Ross, our Daughter also applied to the business school at our state flagship, which is every bit as good as Ross and has virtually identical placement stats. They informed her she had direct admit to business on December 15. So, when after five months Ross could not give her a yes/no decision and only promise an 11th hour decision, she was fed up just like you. Two days later, she made her decision and informed Ross and Michigan to withdraw her application.

So, why am I even on this site? It is sort if like a gapers’ block on the highway. The situation is so messed up, I can’t help but keep watching to see how bad it gets.
