@dreamingofive ,your stats look good,u had to apply to the program?

yeah, probably because of the large desparity between SATs and GPA UW

A few questions –

When did you guys hear back from RU Honors? How were you notified (email, mail, phone, etc)? And where do you guys live?

I applied to SAS Honors as well, called them up a few days ago, and they said that decisions would be mailed out within 2 weeks since they didn’t receive them back from the reviewing committees, so I’m not too sure how much longer I’ll have to wait.

@ahashimi,the website says that they will not mail decisions after March 15th so i’ll say you should expect something around then.I received my acceptance by email but then again i live in Greece.I wish you the best of luck!

@hvairline, I just checked out the website and read this:

“March 15, 2010: No offers of automatic admission to the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program will be sent after March 15.
April 2, 2010: Students who have applied will be notified of their status no later than April 2.”

I was not accepted automatically, I applied before the March 1 deadline. So I’m assuming that I’ll be hearing back sometime before April 2nd?

How would you say I rank up?

30 ACT Composite [1260/2000 SAT, but I’m assuming the higher ACT score will be used] , our school doesn’t report rank. Great essay, even better letter of recommendation. Any viable chance?

1) Enrolled in SAS Honors Program (Brett Hall)

3) GPA: 94 unweighted, 103 weighted

Hooks? Amazing essay, in-state, lots of ECs with me as a president/captain, 6 AP classes with the rest being honors.

How did you apply? Was it in your admissions packet? I didn’t know about this!! I had a 33 ACT, I would’ve thought it would be good enough! (90 GPA very comp. hs, no rank)

EDIT: Just found out that since my hs does not rank, I would’ve had to apply. Otherwise I would have automatically been in. Thanks GC for telling me! :frowning: Should I waste my time contacting them now, middle of March?
I’m already in Rutgers, TCNJ, Drew, and a reach. :(

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Just call them!
