First off sorry if any of my questions sound dumb, I am the first kid in my family to be going to college and know next to nothing about how any of it works.

Ok so I have already been accepted to Rutgers New Brunswick and I intend on going there. I'm interested in the honors program at the SAS, but I am a bit confused in regards to admission. I know that everyone is automatically considered for the program, and then if you meet the criteria they send you an acceptance letter, but when do you get this letter? When I received my letter of acceptance to Rutgers I didn't get anything about the honors program in there, so does that mean I didn't qualify? Or will this letter come later? It says on the website that if you want to fill out a consideration form for the program, the deadline is Dec 1rst, but it said acceptance letters to the program could come as late as February, which also caused me some confusion. If I wait until Feb for the letter and it doesn't come, is it too late to apply by that point? Or did it mean that after you submit the consideration form the acceptance letter will come by February? Another factor that could play into this is that I haven't actually accepted admissions into Rutgers, I haven't responded to the letter or anything yet and am putting that off until next week when I visit for the first time. (Unless Rutgers is absolutely nothing like what I've seen online and researched though and I end up hating it when I actually see it, which is doubtful, I'm probably going to go there) Since I haven't actually committed to the school, could that be a reason why I wouldn't have received any information about the honors program?

My SAT scores and other testing scores meet and are slightly above the criteria, my GPA is a little low though. I have an awesome set of extracurriculars however so hopefully that would make up for it? Thanks in advance for any advice!
