Critical Reading - Moving

Critical Reading - Meteors
21 presence of clay layer between sections - what aroused interest
22 extinction involved land and water creatures

25 most elements not pure, but combined with others - why pure iridium nugget is implausible
26 extinction happened as a single event - scientist's hypothesis

29 other theories are equally valid/plausible - author's viewpoint towards other theories

one question that a group of peole benefit from others;

I put (C) entrepreneur

any suggestion

Yes, CR was easier; however, analogies were harder.

Since you're so great at CR, mekrob, care to confirm/refute any of the answers above?

i got all of the second passage ones the same as yours, but your first passage one seems a little different

Cube one is 8 even though I put 4. I'm 100% sure it's 8. Stupid me changed it last minute back to 4.

anyone remember native american questions?

The passage about moving to Memphis, you mean? What did you get for those?

Re: I thought the hardest math question was the last grid-in about biking and walking. The guy bikes 30 km/hr there, walks 2 km/hr back, and he spends a total of 2 hours traveling. How far does he live from home?
I put 3.75 km, but i'm not sure if that's correct.

I posted the method a few days ago.

You only need to pay attention to the problem statement. Notice that the total trip takes two hours.

Find average speed with speed formula: 2302/(30+2) = 120/32 = 3.75 km per hour.

Obviously, the total distance he will run/bike in two hours is 7.5 km. Half the distance is 3.75 km.

Time to solve this problem? about 15 seconds if you know the formula!

AAAHHH, i cant remember. but i think the two that we have differet are the harder ones...so maybe we got all the others right. i wish i looked back and had memorized the choices. it could just be ur phrasin that is throwin me off for number 17

omg ur rite its 8!!!

he wasnt moving to memphis, was he? i thought he was just visiting...maybe thats why we have different answers....ahh (dumbass)

Harmonic mean.

As soon as I finished test and handed it in I realized again it was 8 then I was ****ed off. lol. What's highest you can get with 1 math wrong like 790?

ilovecollege-- I did put my screen name on my buddy list, but when I right click, I dont get that option. Can you PM me so I can give you my sn, and then you can invite me? Thanks

edit: never mind, I got it :)

When I read that problem this is what I immediately envisioned:

I do a lot of cubing :)

for "languid:animation" the answer was shifty:honesty.
for the definition of conjunction question, i put "concurrence"
for the question on the appeal of the site i put existence of a thin layer of clay
i put E for the effort:futile one, but i dont remember the similar analogy
for 18 i put confronting his father or something
i dont remember what i put for 19 but i didnt put what student did

how do i get in to the AIM chatroom? My screen name is KlKoms403.
