== Official SAT II Chemistry 2012 October ==

I can’t remember… I just remember subtracting two numbers because when you subtract that is the amount that isn’t soluble and is therefore the amount left.

Ya, because didn’t the solubility drop from 20g/100ml to 15g/100ml, so that means that 5 grams became came out of the solution and is no longer soluble.

This test sounded pretty hard…

Were there any questions about:
Voltaic/electrolytic cell?
Organic chemistry
Flame test

How much questions were about KSP and solubility?

Thanks in advance! I’m just wondering on what I should focus on.

It is still dissolved. It doesnt come out of the solution.
Assume we remember the following correctly:
At 100 C, 20g can dissolve
At 20 C, 15g can dissolve
If you put 20g in 100 mL of 100 C water, then lower the temperature to 20 C, how much solute will be in the solution?

The answer is 20g. Nothing will come out, it will become supersaturated. That is how something becomes supersaturated.

@mjmsh22 I put 20g too because you don’t need chemistry knowledge to interpret a graph. I think that question was testing your knowledge of supersaturated solutions.

@Niceboat
If I remember correctly, there were no questions about voltaic cells. There were however questions about organic chemistry (I think it asked something about ethyne). I don’t recall anything about flame tests.

yeah i remember that organic chem question. Anyone remember the answer to that?

Scores are out! How did everyone do? I was expecting mid-700s, but I got an 800, so I’m pretty happy!

790 10char

780 chem (710 at June) and 800 for math lvl 2
Literally crying right now

800 chem, first try

800 for chemistry, math 2 and physics :D. First try and it worked out well.

I got 770 in SAT CHEM. you guys make me feel bad now :(

I got a 770 also! im excited lol

750, not ecstatic but its decent, considering I left 7 blank becuase I didn’t have time to finish the four balancing problems, and I definitely know of 2 I got wrong. What do you guys think, worth retaking?
