I see... hmmm so basically get all 4 books ( barrons - review + Kaplan - study + Real SAT II - studying + PR - studying ? ... damn..

I would recommend Kaplan over Barrons b/c most say that the tests in Barrons are inaccurate. As for Kaplan the tests are in the same format as the real SAT II World History test and the review might be able to rival that of the Barrons, but I wouldn't know exactly b/c I didn't purchase the Barrons.

The PR is mostly for last minute prep. as in if you have about two days left. The review is very concise yet hits on some key concepts. The Kaplan, from my experiences, is a must have book. The Kaplan also includes timelines, vocabulary, and questions after each chapter review so actually when it claims to have 3 tests, it really has an equivalent of 4~5 tests.

This should be your list of priority books to get for the WH test:
1. Kaplan
2. REAL SAT II Subject Tests
3. Barrons
4. PR but if you really need to rush then I suggest getting this. (It also mainly focuses on Euro history)

Kaplan is excellent - it simulated the test questions at a level that was higher than the real SATII test but not so hard that the material starts to become irrelevant. Barron's sometimes runs into that problem, but I haven't used their SATII World History so I can't really say. Their APWH book is nice though, that probably got me a 5 on the actual exam (although the practice test essays were just...no comment.)

I love kaplan for aps in that it just lists terms and definitions, PERFECT for m. choice
