Official SAT Math IIc October Discussion

I thought that was the easiest MATH IIC test ever. The one I took in May was ridiculously HARD. I only skipped a few this time and hopefully didn't miss any. This time the curve will probably not have 43 = 800... probably 45 = 800?

that's what i thought! i agree with you aquamarinee. what did you put for the heartbeat one?

so what is the answer to the heartbeat question? anyone positive?
i kinda thought 60 made the most sense cause i looked at it from a bio perspective... a person who is at rest for a minute has a heartbeat of 60beats/min but idk

damn i was in such a rush i misread the combination one. Thats two wrong (i put four points, not two circles) and 6 blank...hopefully no more wrong

Wasn't it half of 120? I forget. Hahaha. Something like that.

i dont understand that hb one... could someone explain?

I always skip the probability problems... -6 points for skipping 6 so far. Hopefully zero wrong XD

What was the answer to the ax^2+bx+c one? It was asking which graph would have sqrt(b^2-4ac)>0? Was it D or A or something? I forgot...

how many do you think we can get wrong to get at least a 750?

aquamarinee-it was D

and it was <0

for the sqrt(b^2-4ac) one, it was the graph that didnt have visible x intercepts/ the one below the x axis

YAY I put D too. I think. Coool. That's what I thought.

You need to have 38+ raw for 750+.

wait...was it E then?

does anyone remember the qtion: cosx= - sqrt(1-(sint)^2).. was it it quad II and III?

AHHH...i cant remember the answer choices lol. it was the upside down parabola below the X axis, right?

yeah i messed that one up, you just think about -cos x = cos x

yea i think so.. lol i cant remember the choices either!

Yes, II and III. I used TI-89 which said Cos(theta)<0. Yay for TI-89's.

seriously, i keep panicking everytime i think about these questions!!!

for the hb one, i plugged it into my calculator and i got 145.

No, it was D. That was the last problem I looked up. (Your answer's right, yzheng)

What else was there that I was confused about... I can't remember now... hahaha... xD
