Official SAT Math IIc October Discussion

wait was it sqrt(b^2-4ac)>0 or, sqrt(b^2-4ac)<0?

wait was it sqrt(b^2-4ac)<0, or sqrt(b^2-4ac)>0

It was <0. Therefore, II and III quadrants. Look at WendyLing's post. Do you agree with all the answers? I got all the same answers as her.

well wendyling said for the sqrt(b^2-4ac)<0 that it was E, and that's what i put. it was the upside-down parabola under the X-axis

I forget then. I thought that graph was D. Oh, well. I got the same graph. I probably forgot the letter xD

Uh, whoops. I read the question too fast and thought it was asking where you ended up having an unreal root.

That reminds me. Just checking, but for the root question, it was 6,7 so (C) 6 I think...

yea aquamarinee...that's the answer.

i couldn't get 13....it was the right triangle in the II quadrant. and it asked for the X-value of a point.

ohh yeah. I remember that question with the roots. They were trying to be all tricky, but all you had to do was add (6 +7) and multiply (6)(7) to get a quadratic equation.

i dont remmeber that one actullay

do you remember what the choices were?

Does any one remember the one thats 2x=3r=5w? something like that? any it asked which of the following answers is the greatest integer?

for the 2x=3r thing, i got E for the answer

and for the triangle in the graph qtion, i got -3.17 or something like that for the x

oh yea.. couldn't get that one either. i knew basically how to do it, but i couldn't get the answer.

i put E for that one, found the lowest common multiple and plugged and chugged

Hahaha I skipped that one. Anyone remember the answer choices to the triangle in the second quadrant one? I remember getting the answer... I just cannot remember it.

i think this test was actually harder....hopefully the curve will be generous.

-3.17 sounds right... ?

I thought the MAY test was hard. This one was really easy compared to May... I literally skipped 8 questions on May. That was gross.

i thought this one was so much easier than the june one!
for the triangle one, two choices were 3.17 and 3.51 i think.. i remember two very similar answers
