Can someone please link me to accurate practice tests? I’ would greatly appreciate it.
@outlooker I tried searching the net for practice tests but they were really easy. I don’t think that you will find accurate tests on the net. I have heard about Sparknotes’ tests being accurate but I could not find their tests anywhere.
Your best bet would be to buy books and practice from there.
If anybody finds accurate practice tests online, pls PM me the links too :-p
@mumbai98 The College Board has published official practice questions on their website. It is supposed to be pretty accurate.

Do you agree that the earlier number on the real test are slightly easier than the one toward the end?
And are you guying bring TI-calculator to the test?
@dopefresh I don’t really know the answer to your first question since I found all of them to be of the same level of difficult. To answer you second question, I’m using a scientific calculator by Casio (fx 99ES plus to be exact). Graphing Calculators are very expensive in my country.
@dopefresh Oh, they’re easier all right, hence why most of the questions I got wrong was in the beginning. sigh I’m too careless for my own good.
I’ll be using my trusty Casio FX570 ES and the local brand VINACAL FX570 EX Plus as a back up. I can’t bear to part with my baby Casio. We’ve been together for 5 years now. That and I don’t think they even sell graphing calculators in my country. If I wanted to get one, I would have to ask my relative in the US to buy one for me. Eh, too much trouble for something I won’t even use again.
Get Dr. Chungs Math 2 book. Go through all 57 tips. Take as many practice tests as you can. I am by no means good at math and I got an 800. On the practice tests for chungs, if you can get 3 out of 4 questions right you are golden for an 800. Good luck.
asdfasdfasdfasdfasdf.
Approximately how many problems will be about matrices?
760 on a Barron’s practice test. I hope I can make that 800
Approximately how many problems will be on matrices?
@Cornbread1999 On my version I had none. If you are getting a 760 on the Barron’s Practice, you will most likely get a 800 on the actual test. Barrons is harder.
@Cornbread1999: The test will most likely contain a max of 2-3 problems dedicated to matrices, but there also may not be any matrice questions at all; it depends. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I’ve gone through the Barrons book so I’m done studying for this subject. Good luck to all of you!
Hey guys, I took May SAT Math 2 in addition to Chemistry and US History. There were no matrix questions or vector questions. There was one standard deviation question. If you remember your basics up and through Pre-Calculus you should be fine. I scored 800 and was getting around 44/50 on Barron’s tests. To be honest, you can probably get around 40 on Barron’s and still be good for an 800 on the actual test. Make sure to manage your time though and don’t stay too long on a single question. You are allowed to miss quite a few and still get 800 unlike SAT Reasoning math.
So I’m a sophomore, I’ve finished precalculus, I got a 740 (-3) on the May Math SAT, and I’m taking this, aiming for an 800. I’ve done absolutely NO PREP whatsoever for Math II, and since I’m out of the country rn, when I get back I have One Week to cram. Advice pls?
^Your best bet would be to review the topics and take a few practice tests from the Barrons book. One week is still plenty of time to study for this test, especially considering you just recently completed precalculus. Haha I’m in a worse scenario then you are because I too am a sophomore but I just recently completed AP Calculus BC so its been a while since I’ve taken precalculus…and subsequently forgot everything XD. Your SAT 1 math score is pretty good so it shows that you do have a high aptitude for math, so I don’t see why you can’t spend a few hours a day and absorb all the info you’ve already learned throughout high school. Best of luck :).
Dr. Steve Warner has a prep book called 320 Math SAT Subject Test Problems. It has excellent explanations and, IMHO, has problems closer to what you’ll find on the test than Chung or Barrons.
Hey everyone! How is everyone studying for this, I’m so scared! Can any 800s speak up on how they studied?
Exactly one week more to cram, ahhhhh!
Great. I’m panicking again.
I am a Freshman entering my Sophomore year of high school, and I am kind of worried about the June 6th test. For those of you who have taken the test and scored a perfect 800, do you feel that by going through various test-prepping materials, or by taking rigorous math courses leading up to test, better prepared you? I purchased Barron’s SAT Mathematics II book, and scored an 800 on the diagnostic test. Likewise, I found a past test issued by the College Board on the internet, and scored an 800. However, I have not prepped at all, because after I got an 800 on Barren’s diagnostic test, I did not think that I needed any more prep for the test. I have taken college-leveled Algebra and college-leveled Pre-Calculus, and feel that maybe I am getting 800s because the tests that I have been taking just do not have certain question types on them that I do not know how to solve. For instance, I do not know a whole lot about Statistics, besides the basics–mean, median, mode, and standard deviation. On these tests, I have been getting about 45/ 50 right, and barely getting the perfect score. So, am I prepared, or do you recommend some review with one week left until the test?
