Official SAT Subject Test - US History - June 2015

The Declaration actually did list grievances to the king though…

I didnt put Voltaire, Locke, or the King. Or maybe I did, honestly my memory is bad at this point.

Wait the wording for that question was which was NOT?

I’m pretty sure the wording was which was NOT because all the 3 things we’ve discussed were true.

@littlet4lks I guess I mis-read that question also. I don’t remember it saying NOT?!

I’m pretty sure it just asked which was, not which was not

But I think Voltaire was false because it did not influence the DOI. He was all about freedom of religion which was taken in to account for the 1st amendment of the constitution.

I remember a “NOT” because Locke did influence, Voltaire did influence, and there were hella grievances listed in the DoI. But again, I’m worn out and high on coke icees from Racetrac

LOL I feel you. Just woke up from a 3 hour nap. Well, I guess we will just have to wait until the 25th !

Shit i skipped like 6,7 or maybe even 8 questions and prob missed around 5. What r my chances for above 750?

I mean the curve varies but according to sparknotes, you can get a 750 if you answered around 78 right, 10 wrong, and left 7 blank.

For the Declaration of Independence question I put the one about the “Grievances to the King”. The Locke answer choice was incorrect because it said “colonists did not use Lock principles” and the one about Voltaire seemed wrong also.

Wait who influenced MLK? Ive googled online and people say both Thoreau and Emerson influenced him… I put Emerson…

i put emerson too but i think it was thoreau
for the cartoon i put detente b/c the man was smiling (related to SALT maybe?)

I put Thoreau.

What’d you put for the Menlo Park one? I had no idea whatsoever because I was looking for something with electricity.

Thoreau since he was all about non-violence.

I guessed and put something with nuclear. I was also looking for something with electricity!

I put Thoreu because of “civil disobedience” and both served time in jail. (And we had to compare the two’s speeches/essays in English so that was good enough for me)

For menlo park I put industrial becuase it was the only thing that made sense to me. (And the only thing that related to lightbulbs lol)

Thoreau did specific work with civil disobedience, which is what MLK based non-violent protest on. It was for sure Thoreau.

Also whatd u guys put for the one about the electric streetcar. I said it showed how cities were expanding
