Official SAT Subject Test - World History - June 2015

@princeton2829 you’re right on that Senegal is in afria

@Yakisoba yeah Zoroastrian was from the achaemenid

@HopefulSOPH I was pretty confident with the conversion answer but I’m not 100% sure…
@Yakisoba I also said Fertility
I also said Achaemenid Persians (because they were talking about Zoroastrianism)

@princeton2829 yes Zoroastrianism, does Creole refer to French and Spanish people? or Spanish and French born in America.

Creoles refer to Spanish people born in the Americas I’m pretty sure.

@HopefulSOPH Ok i just did a little research and it seems that the correct answer was Senegal…
Yea I’m pretty sure Creole means you are a European born in an American colony.

I don’t think its just spanish though… Louisiana Creoles were definitely a thing (from France).

Was the counter reformation against Martin Luther and Calvin or the protestants?

Islam quote on women voting-was it because he thought the sharia was outdated?
and he believed women should gain more education but deferred the idea of women’s suffrage

Yes to He believed women should gain more education but deferred the idea of women’s suffrage, no to shari’a outdated.

He talked about how the shari’a is very flexible, and that women couldn’t do X because it was IN the shari’a, but he makes the argument that women should be able to receive an education because it’s not specifically stated in the Shari’a.so I picked the choice along the lines of “you can use Shari’a for politics” or something like that, I forgot the exact wording.

It was talking about the creole language, not creoles. Pretty sure paris was the answer.

@wecollegebound I put Paris so I hope you’re right but why would they speak Creole in Senegal…

@Yakisoba I don’t think creole is a language and it seems like East and West coast had a lot of different questions.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creole_language

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upper_Guinea_Creole

Pretty sure it was paris.

who is from the east coast?

@rdeng2614 I do remember the questions as being creole language.

I would expect the questions to be the same but probably in a different order just so they can make an accurate bell curve that pertained to the test

I think the majority of the questions are the same, perhaps a couple are different, like I didn’t have the Sanskrit one or the creole one.

Did anyone put early cultures emphasized fertility in regards to the Japanese statue of a woman

Yeah that’s what I put because of her abnormally large stomach.
