For me, it really is. One of the two colleges I have been looking at the most for meteorology grants full rides to National Merit Finalists. I tried really hard today and have been trying hard for about the past month, so hopefully that hard work paid off.

Good luck to everyone who took/is going to take the PSAT. Hopefully we all have achieved our goals!

will the scales vary from those on the test packet we recieved upon registering for the PSATs. The packet was comparatively easier than the test we took today.

Heck yes. Well...now that I've cooled down a bit, though I'm still disgusted with myself...hopefully I'll make the semifinalist ranks, but I'm not too optimistic...oh well. It was only a practice, I guess. The real SATs are more important, and it's over already so may as well move on...

Smokeylarue, I don't know exactly, but a really good grade. Math - 80; writing, I would say most likely a 74 or so, and CR around a 71 or 72. That would be around 225+.

Something about a performance being "both enlarging ones feeling and invigorating" or something like that. I put D at first.... then changed to A. Dunno why.

Also, I have a friend who disagrees with me about the rare fish question. "The two passages agreed that" I said "the fish needed to be protected", he said "a lot could be gained by studying them in their environment"

No, the second passage argues that much better research can be done in captivity. The first argues the opposite. You're right. The first expresses concern about putting them into captivity because of the 'risk' involved due to the low numbers to begin with, the second emphasizes the rareness extensively.

The Error ID one was something like '...both stimulating for _____ and enlarging our horizons.' I think horizons was the word. Anyways...I thought one of the choices had more parallel structure (thought it was D) but then after looking it over a few times decided it was better off as it was.

Anyone remember that math question where the answer was 12? It asked like 2,4,6,8,10... 1/64,1/32,1/16....well my question was.. Was that question that last mutiple choice math question meaning problem 28?

I don't believe so. I think that was #25...if I remember correctly, it was the first one in the left column of that page, so it would be around #25. I don't remember #28, just that it was wicked easy.

Do you know anything about the question about "A good performance being both invigorating and expanding of the senses" or something like that. I know the prob was parallelism... and it's the only one I know of that I could have missed aside from the question about "The woman was a representative for New York, and endeavored the nomination" I selected endeavored as incorrect, and I later found both the phrase "representative of New York" and "representative for New York" multiply times when I searched google, furthing my convictions.

ZOOGIES MY DAY HAS BEEN SAVED! I remember I put B for the last answer and B on that question i was referring to would've been 14....I WILL BE HAPPY FOR THE NEXT 2 MONTHS!

Nikes, I think that question is the most controversal of all.

Nikes, I wrote this a few posts up so I'll requote it...

Yeah, now I remember. 'A good performance of a play is both....' something or other. I know the first word is stimulating though, because one of the answer choices was 'as a stimulus...'

What's wrong with Representative from New York? She's a representative, and she's from new york.
