Modern pieces rock! At least for flute. You can do so much with air and weird thunky things. It's cool.

Bach's okay too :) Just annoying.

Ugh, pianote. Liszt. I have a thing against him. Many things, actually. Brilliant, yes. A jerk, also yes. Showoffy self-ordained demi-god...the Coolio of his day :D Is Coolio still big? I'm so out of it.

For my D, quiltD:

Instrument: Voice (soprano)
Pieces submitted: "Se tu ma'mi" by Pergolesi, "Quia respexit" by Bach, "Why do they shut me out of heaven?" by Copeland, "Les Berceaux" by Faure, and "Fair Robin I love" from Tartuffe by Mechem
Her favorite composer, by far, is Ralph Vaughn Williams

CC ID: cresol.red
Instrument: piano
Piece Submitted: Sonatine: Modere, Ravel; Sonata in C Major, Op. 2, No. 3: Allegro e con Brio, Beethoven
Favorite composers: Prokofiev, Barber (the piano sonata especially), Ginastera, Ravel, Chopin, Bach

haha yea, a lot of people choose to play liszt to just show off... but his sonata is pretty awesome--so are those transcendental etudes (interesting title, eh?)

I think my favorite piece right now is Mendelssohn's Variations Serieuses. But knowing me, I'll have another one soon; I'm pretty capricious.

What happened to Coolio? I remember he was quite the chiller couple years back...
