Has anyone who applied 2nd round heard back yet?

Im so anxious, i applied on the first round. Had the skype interview in beginning november, then had the inperson interview at the beginning of december. A week later, a couple of days later, has a follow up skype interview, about two weeks ago they called me to know if i prefer finance or IT. They told me to send them last semester grades. I sent them yesterday. I applied to Corporate Financial Leadership and i’m majoring, accounting, finance and information systems

@adm: No problem! I can’t wait for this next month to fly on by…I’m tired of friends asking me “Where will you be this summer” and having to respond, “I’ll let you know in a month or so” lol

@ETN: For the A/F program there are four banks. I wouldn’t complain if I were placed at any; however, my top two are Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan (since my roommate will be interning there this summer as well). I hear the culture at UBS is nice but I feel that they don’t have particularly high standards and they also have a pretty strict dress code.

@Happy: I’m not sure which program you’re in but for the 2003 version, there are only two short “tests” and no tests for the 2007 version. However, it is likely that your tests may be different depending on your program. I’ve looked at both…there aren’t very many questions (3 to be exact).

@Greatful: I am in the same boat. Its almost like…i dont want to even say Im working at all this summer until I know!

For any other I-Banking Summer’s out there: I spoke with the person in charge of the program and there is no Assessment Day, thats only for S&T, and we will receive our placements in late March. Other than that, she told me to just hang tight.

They were not sure of the start date of SEO Training, but said probably the last week of May or first week of June, depending on when you start (ie first week of june, or 2nd week of june)

As for housing, I live in the south and have never been to NYC myself, so I am starting the seach early. I want to just stay in NYU dorms, or maybe even The New School Dorms, but those applications/dates available to move in are not yet posted.

Has anyone else started the housing search?

Adm: I did. I found 3 friends who are going to NYC for the summer and we spent about 3 hours searching online until we found our place. I suggest you find 2 or 3 friends or talk to some of our future colleagues to try to share an apartment.

Good luck

ETN: gotcha. So you decided to do an apartment over dorm housing? Im leaning more towards just living in some sort of NYC dorm housing (probably NYU). I have a couple of friends moving to NYC, but they arent interning…there actually moving there for 2+ years.

I know the dorms suck (especially considering I havnt lived in one for almost 3 years now), but I take it I wont be spending too much time there anyways.

Hey everyone,
is anyone on here applying for the Corporate law program? I just recieved information about the program last week so im scurrying to finish the app. Which essay question do I answer? Im confused because I’m not applying for the judicial clerkship program, but im also not a general applicant. Ay. any help?

Ugh, the housing search begins.

I go to school in New York and will probably end up using NYU dorms, although splitting an apartment would probably be the best case scenario

I think it would be a good idea to start coordinating housing on this site. I personally plan on living with a friend in NY, but as more students are admitted into SEO I think it would be beneficial if information were exchanged (through private messages of course) so that everyone can start meeting potential roommates.

Just a thought…

I wish I were already able to discuss where I am going to live in NYC. Interview coming up… Pumped to leave it all on the table. Hope to join many of you!

I agree with Greatful. I potentially need a roomate for the summer. I was leaning toward an apartment, but I am really up for any viable (not ridiculously expensive) option. If anyone else is in the same boat as I am send me a message!

I am potentially looking to find a roommate for NYU dorming this summer. I am familiar with all of the dorms and can offer my input. I think registration for that goes up early march.

I’d ideally like an apartment split rather than dorms but I’m probably not gonna organize that. But if someone more ambitious than me can get this rolling, please reach out.

If anyone wants to discuss the above, pm me. I am a member of the IB class this summer.

I noticed there wasn’t a facebook group for those of us who were selected. I decided to make one…join! :-)

Group Name: SEO Intern Class of 2011

Has anybody got in from Feb interviews, esp IB? They were really vague on when we would find out.

@IBD:
My in-person interview was in mid December, and I got the offer about three weeks ago (late Jan.). They took about 6 weeks to follow up on my interview.
Hope it helps. Good luck.

Has anybody else been accepted to the Asset Management Career Program?

Oh actually there was already a group. Idk why it just now decided to show up when I searched for it. Forget what I said about the other group. See you all this summer!

Hi everyone! I applied first round Investment Research, had my skype interview, then in-person interview in mid-december. Then I got an e-mail saying that my status was on-line, and the letter said that the admissions committee had not yet made a decision on my application. A week later I got a phone call from the program coordinator for a follow-up phone interview. Had the interview this morning and was made an “informal offer”
…
SO.
EXCITED.
see you all soon!!! And to those who haven’t heard back yet/are still in the process – GOOD LUCK!!

@TheStreet…Whats the group name on facebook for the new seo intern class that you found?

Seems like it is the right one…but the description is weird and makes me think otherwise. It’s called “Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) - Class of 2011”. I requested to join so we’ll see. If this isn’t the right group for some reason I’ll just make another one.

Thanks ETN
@ riversjustariver or anyone who has had one…What kind of questions do they have in the follow up interview? Is it just general or should you be braced for more technical in depth questions?
