@ apathium…

Vassar is great, dont get me wrong. i just dont think its the right place for me. i would like a larger school with a better college town and most importantly- a communications program. i would probably be able to find something i like here, or play around with Science, Tech, and Society or Psych/MEdia studies but the other factors have encouraged me to apply for transfer…

Where did you find this information? Just curious.

that was directed at deadhead654

@umdtransfer6

Dunno about deadhead654 but I checked the Cornell 2011 Transfer thread and some of the colleges start(ed) sending out decisions in the first couple weeks of November. Other colleges like ILR and I believe Hotel didn’t send anything until the end of November/early December.

Thanks for the info transferssoon. It seems like us ILR applicants will have to wait a little longer! Any GT transfers for ILR on the site?

@umdtransfer6 - I don’t know if you have access to your ApplicantID page yet, but there is a Self Service FAQ page:

"When should I expect to hear the decision on my application, and how will I be informed?

Decisions for transfer applicants are made on a rolling basis. We begin communicating decisions approximately 4 weeks after the deadline and continuing communicating them for an additional 6 weeks. Please note that many decisions are delayed because the application was not complete by the deadline. Applicants will receive an admissions decision letter by regular mail."

48 hours till the deadline :)

Good luck everyone!

Indeed, good luck to all.

Not many people on here applying for Spring though, thought there would be more.

Help me out to see where I stand…Thanks much:

FYI…I connected with Cornell U in April indicating my interest in transferring. Shared my previous year coursework at UVA and asked for suggestions on classes to take in Fall in order to better position my chances. Followed through, followed up with admissions rep who said I was on the right track.

I still hate seeing 2 red X’s on my ApplicantID checklist…

I haven’t submitted my CSS profile or any of that stuff yet. Ahh! Am I trouble?

I just got my applicantID stuff today.

Which colleges within Cornell do not require SAT scores for transfer students? I have done well at my local community college with a GPA of 3.9, but my SAT score in high school was only an 1180 (Critical Reading+ Math)…

sounds like if you have more than 30 credits to transfer or transfer as junior then you don’t have to send SAT scores

Is that for all of the colleges?

I guess it is so for most of the colleges

Finally decided to join the thread.

@transfersoon: I am apply for spring transfer to ILR as well.

I’m so nervous! Has anyone had their interviews yet???

how much does an interview for ilr admissions even factor into the decision? i heard we are interviewed by an alum not anyone on the admissions board

No. I have not had my interview.
