@richard: email sent by undergraduate admission asking you to check the WUSTL pathway. I remember it says in its website that application completed after 15th Sep will be given a decision within around 2 weeks. But considering that there are many applicants, it may delay. Best of luck to you!

Congrats bubble!

What school are you applying to?

I’ve got a template for my personal statement written up and perfected (in my opinion - using it for all my apps) I just haven’t applied it to Cornell yet. I’ve been thinking about the supplement essay and since I’ve got pretty defined career goals and Cornell is one of only a handful of schools that offers agribusiness courses I don’t think it will be to much trouble to put something together.

I’ve got everything else all set and im planning to have all my apps out by the last week in january/first week in february.

Sent from my DROIDX using CC App

Thx deadhead! You just HAVE to be next!

congrats to all!

this is an addicting thread!

@benjamindian. Thanks man! Good luck to you as well:)

Congrats unicornbubbles!

This gets more exciting/nerve racking by the day!

CAS Econ. Is it really as impossible as everyone says? I had really good scores/grades in HS and am doing well so far in college (at a top 5 school with great econ now) but I have no clue how competitive it is.

In terms of my app, I have the ideas for all of my essays down but I haven’t written any of them yet. Is it an advantage to turn your app in early?

@Richard0910, you applied to CAS Econ also? Why do you say it’s impossible?

@unicorn, I know but something tells me not to be too optimistic…

@something12345. The statistics from Cornell website says that only 7 were accepted last spring for the whole CAS. So around 2 applying Econ can really get in, maybe none, maybe a bit more. My high school grades is around top 20%, so it is not good. I did well in college and my college is a Top 40 private national university. But another disadvantage for me is that I am an intl student. Normally school has even higher expectation on Asian student because most Asian are doing great in academics. Btw, have you applied yet?

Hey guys, if you wanna talk about Fall 2012 transfer, can you make a thread for that? Thank you!

^^^ agreed

@Richard0910

Where did you see that stat (about the 7 people)? <a href=“Redirect Notice”>Redirect Notice;

Says that 731 people got in last year, seems unlikely that only 7 were in CAS?

I have the PDF downloaded from Cornell database. Over 80 people admitted last spring, but only 7 in cas. Most ppl go to cals and ilr.

Oh, I guess spring is much smaller than fall transfer. I’m applying for fall 2012, the file says that 731 people were accepted for fall in 2010 so I’m guessing that about 70 people got into CAS.

@Richard where are you from? There aren’t many asians in Cornell, relatively speaking.

^13.1% admitted transfer applicant (2011 fall and spring) are international, so I think maybe asian can be 5%~6%?

Last day of the week, good luck everyone besides myself!

No mail today, Veterans day! Tomorrow we should be good.

and email doesn’t work on veterans day?

Most of the people were notified via snail mail but I guess it’s a possibility.
