Well, 12:15 PM, but I’m up after midnight too.

@qwerty that would constitute cruel and unusual punishment…

Well, 12:15 PM, but I’m up after midnight too.

@qwerty that would constitute cruel and unusual punishment…

@qwerty2001, i did not even think about the april fools day thing! haha! that would be absolutely cruel though! i would be so excited and then all that excessive happiness repusilvely shattered! would be a funny joke written down…but not at all if it’s real! can’t wait to find out: rejection or acceptance!

I hope the decision comes tomorrow. I guess it’s better, personally, if I get my letters one at a time rather than a slew at once, hoping to avoid like 3 rejection letters all at once. You know, gotta spread out the pain. With Duke on Wednesday and like all my other colleges on Friday, I would like one piece of good/bad news per day

My official guess is:

3PM Tomorrow.

Good luck everyone!

just checking, results are released by email and not by some other means?

Results are released by e-mail. Your decision letter will be directly sent to your inbox, no external websites required!

The Stanford admissions page has no new updates…does this mean we won’t hear anything today? :(

It is only 6:45 AM in Palo Alto, California right now. If they post any news, it most definitely won’t be until later in the day.

^ah, sorry. I just saw the “PM”…so we’ll know in five and a half hours…ish?

I really hope it’s today…

Maybe someone can try calling the admissions office when it opens today. Apparently during REA, they told students to “watch the website for news” later in the day before decisions were released.

^That’s probably a bad idea. What good would calling do?

I think the best idea is to just keep an eye on the website and wait. At the very worst, everyone will have their answer in 3-4 days. Though it is getting old waiting …

^Merely a suggestion if people are really anxious to know, as people in REA did it before. Personally, I am not concerned about waiting for a few more days. Better a Hopeful than a Rejectee right? :P

But better set straight than deluded.
Or
Better accepted than anxious.

Right?

The stanford website clearly says DO NOT call asking about admissions before release day.

Ah, sorry I missed that.

Stanford has released results on a Friday going back to 2008, at least. Traditionally the last Friday in March. If there is a year when results were not released at the end of the day on a Friday, it appears to have been some time ago. Stanford released a message saying 1 April (Friday) was the date. Not “by 1 April” or “no later than 1 April”. Just 1 April.

You see where I am going? I realize that folks are excited and anxious, but it is going to be Friday, 1 April, at 3pm Pacific time, when Stanford Admissions releases its decisions.

Then they are going to put the phones on voice mail, turn out the lights, and go home. They will not answer any messages until 4 April at the earliest.

Good luck.

ZBBMcFate

Looks like in 2009 it was released on 03-31-2009 (Tuesday) for class of 2013.

If my information was incorrect, I apologize.

Just for info:

From Stanford’s admissions news page:
